Review: I purchased a pair of clogs from this retailer but when I received them the left shoe was very discolored appearing stained. I contacted the retailer the same day stating the issue and requesting to please send return label.I got a response that the company inspects them before they ship and for me to provide more details. Right then I felt there should not have been further discussion over it but I gave them the benefit of the doubt to clear things up. I responded by saying you obviously have missed the defect.Company then responded back by saying that it was natual for this type of fabric to appear this way, again stated that they were inspected and could I provide photos before they allow a return. That was it pretty much for me and I responded by saying the only way I was going out of my way with photos is if they were to Revdex.com then I went on to say ok first I was told three times they were inspected but then the company said it was normal which only says they knew of the defect.I said the item should have stated this in its description and did not. I said I didn't wanna pay $70 for a shoe that has bad quality and I didn't wanna continue business with this company. Finally I stated that the box was wrapped poorly because the bag they used from USPS was taped pretty much to the box ripping the outside paper off the box on one side but that was fine because I didn't care about the box,it was merely a suggestion. So the last response I received was provide copy of receipt when I send them back and that they are not responsible for lost or damaged items in mail. I was going to respond but I already can imagine it will have no resolution as it hasn't had much of one already as I do not have a label that I know they can provide. The response I wanted to send was so basically if it did get lost I lose out $70 because you don't give customers the option right away for insurance but more importantly now that I should have to pay for it when their company is not providing enough information .

A prepaid label sent to email address and it needs to cover insurance or they can take the loss if they do not want insurance because I am not paying a cent out my pocket for an issue they caused. I have all emails if needed.

NOTE: We provided a return number to [redacted] on July
26th -- 3 days before she filed this complaint with the
Revdex.com.
[redacted] purchased a pair of Eco Dragon hemp clogs in
natural (undyed) from us on July 20th. Soon after she
received them, we received an email from
her indicating that the shoes are "defective."
Since I personally inspected these shoes before
shipping them to her, this was quite a surprise to me.
I let her know that the shoes were inspected before
shipment (which is true of *everything* that we ship
to customers) and requested more information about
the defect. She replied, indicating that the shoes
were "very discolored stained" and "as if they were
worn." I admit that at this point, I became a little
suspicious, given that used pairs are available on
ebay and elsewhere. After all, I had inspected this
pair of shoes. Concerned that she might be attempting
to return a pair other than the pair we sent her, I
politely asked if she could send along a good digital
image of the shoes before we sent the return info.
At this point, she threatened to pursue this issue
with the Revdex.com if we did not issue a return label
right away. Within half an hour (on July 26)
I sent along our standard return authorization to
her by email. Nonetheless, she has opened this
complaint, and we still have not received her return.
I also explained in an email to [redacted] that natural,
undyed fabric is likely to show some color variation.
(That's not specific to hemp -- it's true of ALL
natural undyed fabrics: cotton, linen, etc., etc.) I'm
hoping that this is the discoloration to which she
refers. She should return the shoes that we sent her
in the same exact condition that they were received.
Our business does not provide return shipping labels,
but here is a copy of the return info email that I sent
her on July 26th:
Hi [redacted]. Here's your return info:
------------------
Your merchandise return # is 726A. Please write
this number on a copy of your receipt to include
with your return. If you would like to exchange for
for any other style of footwear, just let me know and
we'll cover the shipping to send you the new pair.
NOTE: We are not responsible for lost or damaged
return shipments. Please send by the US Postal
Service with the original shoe box. Use postal wrap
or an outer shipping box, and send to:

I should also add the following to this Revdex.com complaint file:
Our return policy for defective items is stated under the FAQ section of our online store:
"If you receive a defective item, we will replace it free of charge with an identical item (if still available, or with a comparable item if the original is no longer available) or repair it free of charge -- you do not pay additional shipping charges."
see:
http://www.thevegetariansite.com/popup_questions.htm
Although I believe it is likely that the shoes simply show some color variation in the natural hemp fabric, if instead it is a defect in this particular pair of shoes, we will gladly replace these shoes with another pair AND REIMBURSE HER RETURN SHIPPING COST TOO, exactly as stated in our policy online. Alternatively, she may of course elect to make a usual return of the shoes for a refund to her credit/debit card (no "restocking fees" but no shipping refunds).
Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2013/08/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)
This company is pathetic blaming a customer for doing something like that without even knowing them. I will NEVER ever shop with them again no matter what item they carry just for saying this. Seeing as they wanna say something like this about me I will possibly go a step further. The bottom of the shoes are NOT worn looking at all. For the record I was not going in detail simply because they should trust their customers. It's the top left shoe as I told the company. I paid $70 not to have an stained uneven shoe tone. They inspected them so clearly they knew. It's what they say(the ununiform tone that I speak of. Clearly that could bother a customer and they should be warned just as those Ebayers you put down would have done unlike what this company did. Poor item description. There is no issue with Cotton BTW I been buying cotton and hemp for years NEVER have I seen this. They don't buy labels but they can. Anyone can. I am not going to be responsible if it did get lost. THey are the ones who messed up.I will be putting reviews out there on this company. TERRIBLE! I wanna see a label that is insured or I will go a step further than Revdex.com. I am not chancing $70 on this company.
