We moved my uncle, *** out of the Veraden after only 6 days. We moved him home with us after we discovered a medication aide was falsely documenting giving him his medication. We were suspicious of this activity from the beginning; my uncle is a Vietnam Veteran and has Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia, he needs his medication in order to function. I met with the nurse *** on two occasions to discuss many concerns. I told the nurse on day three I did not trust leaving him in their establishment. His movement was declining every day. I received a call from the nurse and the executive director on our last day; they wanted me to know they confronted the aide and she admitted to not giving him his medications, she was "written up". The Veraden has not acknowledged this situation appropriately. We did not receive the care plan we paid for and my uncle was not receiving his medications. My uncle was under the care of an establishment that Falsely documents giving medications, they will not refund any of his money. He moved in on Jan. 31, 2020 and we moved him out on February 6th, 2020. The executive director, *** does not have answers to any of our questions. She informed me she is not yet licensed in the State of Oklahoma.

I am rejecting this response because: We received a check on Friday March 6, 2020 in the amount of $2,834.95. No letter, No explanation how this refund was determined. We gave the Veraden approx., $8050.00 for a total of 6 days. We notified staff on day 3 that we were not receiving the care we were paying for and on day 6 confirmed with the staff and the nurse that medications were not being given, and falsely documented that they were being given. The care plan we signed up for was an additional $800.00 a month. This plan included escorts to all meals. 3 of the 6 days, my uncle missed breakfast because he was left in bed until I arrived to get him up. No meds at 6 am, and no one there to take him to breakfast 3 of the 6 days. The only way I knew this was going on was because we had cameras in the room. I had to leave work to go get him out of bed and dressed for the day, then argue that meds were not being administered correctly.
We have not received one call from the corporate office to acknowledge our situation. As requested in an email to the Veraden, we want all of our money back, excluding the 6 days my uncle resided in the apartment.
