To be honest, The Veteran Tree & Stump Removal was not one of the services that I originally contacted. On a Monday, I called two different tree services that I had seen numerous times in my area and left voicemails asking if I could get a quote to have a tree taken down. One company returned my call on Wednesday, and the man I spoke with seemed rude and was rather condescending when I asked (what I thought was) a simple question. The other company has yet to return my call, a few weeks later. Anyway, I wanted to get more than one quote and I had seen The Veteran's crew working in my neighborhood the week before; prior to that I had never seen or heard of them. I decided to take a chance and get a quote from them.
On Wednesday, I called and left a voicemail with The Veteran Tree & Stump Removal. [redacted] not only returned my call within a few hours, but he also was able to come out to my house that same day and give me a very reasonable quote. He was very polite, even when the tree turned out to be a different species than I had told him over the phone. I only wanted the tree to be taken down (climbed and roped down), and he did not try to talk me into having the stump removed or the brush and wood taken away. I really appreciated that, as I suspect that many other services would have tried to pressure me into additional work that I did not want. He followed up the visit with an email containing a copy of the quote and a copy of their insurance coverage. I then went to their website and was impressed to see that they genuinely live up to their name by employing Veterans and that they do charity work, so impressed in fact, that I cancelled the other quote that I was going to get.
The two-man crew was able to get to get to my tree within a few days. They arrived when they said they would and were very respectful of my property. They worked safely and efficiently to take down my tree, which had a double trunk, was about 60 feet tall, and located within 5 feet of a fence and 10 feet of my house. I don't even think a twig hit the fence or house, they were that good.
I would highly recommend The Veteran Tree & Stump Removal to anyone and everyone; I could not imagine a better experience!

I gave them a call about getting a tree stump removed and two trees trimmed up in the front yard. When [redacted] came out to the property to assess the work he informed me one of our trees in the front was actually dead - it had been hit by lightning and had a huge black mark on on one half of the tree. They quoted taking down that tree, trimming the other tree, removing all the branches/wood, grinding that stump and two others in the back of the house. Their quote seemed very fair - I didn't bother to get a competitive quote because I was anticipating a higher cost and liked the fact they employed veterans. [redacted] told me they were pretty busy and couldn't do the work until the following week, which was perfectly fine with me. They scheduled a time with me a few days later and showed up to do the work today, and on time. They were only around for maybe 3 hours, but in that time their team of 5 took down the tree, trimmed up the other tree, chipped all the branches and hauled away the wood. One of the neighbors was intrigued - I saw a few of them come out to see what was going on. Maybe they were just jotting down the phone number on their vehicles? I'm not sure how other companies take down trees, but I wanted to mention in this review that they were very careful about not dropping huge sections at a time or letting anything come close to the house. I didn't see as much of the trimming work, but I know they did a good job since our neighbor had his car under part of the tree and wasn't home to move it - they didn't drop a branch, let alone a twig, anywhere near his vehicle. The price was also the same after the work was done as it was when quoted - no tricks, gimmicks, overages, etc. Would definitely recommend again - very good work. I'd also like to mention that two of their people, [redacted] who quoted out the work and another guy who was helping with the work in the front yard, took the time to let me know what type of cutting they were doing, how long they have been doing this, information about the equipment they use, what type of trees I had, etc. They were very friendly. (note: first time homeowner and this was the least stressful job I've contracted out so far - very appreciative of their work)

My Husband and I would highly recommend these guys. Not only were they friendly, on-time and did what they said they would. They were also very knowledgeable about trees and shrubs and took the time to share their knowledge with us. These guys are fantastic!!!!!!

The Veteran Tree Service came out with their crew of former Army, Navy and Marine Veteran's and removed a Huge Cottonwood tree and trimmed the other Maples I had. They were very fun to watch and they did an excellent job with no damage to my property. after they ground out the stump from the cottonwood I couldn't believe how different I looks now. My property looks beautiful !!!! Thank you guys. I will recommend you to anyone.

I was so impressed with Veterans Tree Service. A friend of mine knew I was looking for a service to remove a tree and happened to see a crew from Veterans at work. He has done a lot of tree removal himself, but didn't want to tackle my tree. He was very quite impressed by what he saw and got me their business card. We had a very large tree with limited access that spanned across 4 properties including 2 garages and several fences. At first I was concerned because much of the work would have to be done on my next door neighbour's lawn and I didn't want to upset him should there be any damage. Not only was there no damage to anything (even the lawn and a old rotted fence that is bearly standing), but they left things looking even better than then they arrived.
Friendly, professional, skilled, do not begin to describe these guys. In an age where customer service seems to be lacking, this company stands head and shoulders above the rest. I have not seen customer service like this in a very long time. I also like the idea of being able to help those who served our country.

I called for an estimate to take down 2 large pine trees in my front yard that were quite close to my house. Someone was at my house in less than an hour and he gave me a written estimate. The work was done in little over a week. The guys that came to take the trees down were great. They also had a crew that did the stump grinding. They were very professional and did a great job of cleaning everything up. You can't even tell there were trees there. I would highly recommend this company. I called about 4 tree services in all. Only The Veteran Tree & Stump Removal came out to my house to give me an estimate. One other company called me with an estimate after apparently only driving by my property and the third company sent me an email but never got back to me until AFTER I had already had the trees removed by The Veteran Tree & Stump Removal. The fourth company never even called me back. I believe the rates charged by The Veteran Tree & Stump Removal are comparable with the other tree services in the area. I wouldn't even waste my time calling around getting estimates from other services. Just go with this crew. You won't be sorry. If I need any services in the future, this is the company I will be calling.

The job was reasonably priced. The crew showed up when expected. The crew answered my questions. They did a good job on the clean-up after.

Only negative was the crew could of had shirts with company name.

The workers did a fine job of trimming branches broken after a recent storm but did not dispose of the large sections of branches left in my back yard. This was contrary to their promise to clear all the wood they trimmed. I called to ask that the work be completed and no one returned my call. I then had to dispose of the wood myself.
