November 2019 - I recently reached out to Rawls Law group through their Veterans Serving Veterans site for a difficult situation my veteran uncle is enduring. I was contacted a couple of business days later by a legal secretary from Rawls, Justine Kesel. Upon my answering my phone when she called, I was questioned whether or not I was who she was intending to contact. I advised her I was who she was asking for, yet she continued to question my identity, and as the caller, she refused to identify herself. As does most everyone, I receive a dozen spam and scam calls on a daily basis and I could only assume this was only another annoyance. The conversation's heated tone escalated very fast with both parties. Because my wife and I do receive odd and creepy spam/scam calls daily, I felt she, as the caller, had an obligation to identify herself and let me know who she was, yet she only aggressively spoke over me and demanded that I tell her my true identity. When she finally identified herself and I realized that she was representing this law firm, Rawls, whom I initially contacted, it was too late. She had managed to truly frustrate me with her controlling and bully phone etiquette, and I can only believe that she was also frustrated due to her perception of my lack of cooperation, though she was the caller who wouldn't identify herself. Ms or Mrs Kesel was extremely rude, controlling, and belligerent in her telephone manners. She did however state she had been in her "business position for over 20 years" to which I replied "that was obvious to me". This person is representational of this Law Firm? I can only assume so. It is clear to me as it is of my personal opinion that she is not the correct individual to be contacting ANY potential client or customer for this firm or business. And because of her inappropriate telephone behavior, I would definitely not recommend this law firm to anyone, especially a veteran in need who has been neglected or abused. If the lawyers only somewhat share her attitude, you will probably not receive the empathy and sensitive attention you or your veteran deserves.

They use the "Veterans" within its name to attract veteran victims. If you are a veteran; please stay away from this "group"
They do not communicate with you, they will ensure the case takes longer than what needed in order to rise their percentage. When you do get to talk to them (if you are lucky to reach them or to have them call you back) it seems they do not have any idea of how your case is prospering. What the lawyer tells you does not match with what you were told by his assistant of the letters.
I could keep addressing and explaining the so many issues I did found, when having them as representatives; but it would take me a whole day to do so.

Review: I am the wife of a Veteran who is trying to file a disability claim on the behalf of my spouse. Per the paralegal's, instructions, I mailed a large white envelope to the law firm's office in early May 2013 to give the attorney info on pending claims we'd like a good attorney to help us with. Since then, the paralegal does not return my calls (through their answering service) and does not respond to my requests that the office simply mail the envelope back to me. I found out later, the address on their website is only a PO Box. I mailed the envelop by priority mail via the post office. The website states this is a Veteran's Law Group, but it's not a group, it is apparently run by only 2 employees. I put a lot of work into preparing several pages of confidential material to this law firm that cost me $40 including postage to mail to them and I'd like the paperwork returned. I'm sure this law firm has helped some clients, otherwise, they wouldn't have been in bus. for this long. However, the website claims to give free consults that we never got, never got a returned call, and only got one email to mail paperwork to their office which I did. How can I get the envelope back? ThanksDesired Settlement: Mostly, I just want our paperwork mailed back to us due to my husband's confidential information. To help this law firm monitor their work flow and be more responsible to potential clients, it would be more "ethical," if they would put on their website something to the effect that "that they only return calls and emails to prospective clients of their choosing," or that all or any confidential information sent to their office would be mailed back to the clients (or something to that effect).
