We lived here for months (some of which were ok and the majority that were stress-filled, rude, cannot-wait-until-our-lease-is-up) and yes the place was nice(ish) but definitely not what you're paying niceWe were disappointed in the overall place from the management to maintenanceWe moved in toward the end of September and the second day had complained about our master bath fan that didn't work and our dishwasherSome maintenance men had came up to our house and 'fixed' the dishwasher, yet we had to have them come up and fix it three more timesWe finally got fed up and just had to deal with it the remainder of our time living thereA maintenance man, the next day had come up to fix our fan and had told us that he'd have to order a new oneWell, we didn't expect it to take monthsOn top of this issueThe on-site laundry room was never fixedWhen we moved in there were two dryers that were out of OderK, no big deal except the dyers were not ever fixed until January and then when we went down to use them the dyer took our money but did not startThis has happened with three dryers and even when we complained they wouldn't refund our money nor have the dryers been fixedWe were rather angry considering the laundry room was closed for a good 2-weeks for 'repairs' yet not a single thing changedAnother issue we came across was we were paying for the highest speed internet because of gaming and online schooling yet whenever we'd test our network speeds it was terrible and we'd constantly have to restart itNow, I understand there's a lot of people, but don't make us pay for something if you cannot offer itWe started to really consider not renewing our lease and to move when our home was invaded by maintenance menWe had gotten a call saying that being as it was a new year they were going to clean the air filters in everyone's homeWell, they said that it would start at a certain time and if no one was home they'd go in anywayK, I get thatWell, my fiancé was at work and I hopped in the showerWell, I did not expect them to be to our apartment sooo quickly and I heard the doorbell I wrapped a towel on and ran to the hallway and yelled "give me a second"I know they heard me because then the ringing and knocking stoppedWell, I started to dry off and throw on some clothes quickly and in the process of doing so I heard my front door unlockI ran to the hallway and they didn't say a word just came inI said "uh, hi" and they just looked at me, and went about their businessVery rude, very invasiveThis happened another time when both my fiancé and I were away for weeks and when we returned home we smelt somewhat fresh paintI decided to just ask the main office and they said "yes, we did some repairs"What repairs? And without contacting us!? We didn't have a note, call, email, nothing! We didn't find anything missing or toyed with but it's odd that they did repairs without notifying usPlus, home checks are done once a year and the only home check they've done was the filter cleaningI'm pretty sure our smoke detectors never worked because in the process of cooking some dinner I've burnt a few things and smoke was crazy yet no alarmsPlus, the storage on the balcony was literally falling apart and nails sticking out everywhereThey've used paint to cover up scratches on toilets, bathtubs, etcthe walls have so many holes that were not covered up wellThere was a time when I complained about the noise, door slamming, stomping in stairwells and the office told me that they would put up some notices on everyone's doors and well that NEVER happenedThe grounds are not safeParking is ridiculous and for months there was a massive hole in the pavement and they finally put down a cone and that cone sat there forever and when the hole was finally fixed it was done very poorlyWhen we had first moved in they were fixing some sidewalk sections and well, they didn't inform anyone of this until two days later while still in the process and they had already been jackhammering a section right in front of our parking spaceScratched up my boyfriends car and one day we found a nail right by his tireI was talked to VERY rudely when I didn't take our Christmas lights downYes, it was already February but I do things and I didn't light them or gave them flinging aboutI got a call saying "we are doing balcony inspections and we need you to take down your Christmas lights, we strive for a clean look and we don't want any eyesores"I was polite and took them down but as I went to our balcony I looked out at the balconies with trash cans, shoes, rusty grills and just shook my headWe was extremely mad when I found out about our rentI usually went and got the money orders and when my fiancé went with me he said "no that's wrong" and corrected the amountTurns out for months I had been giving the apartments extra money and NO ONE HAD TOLD ME! They never refunded meThey stole money from us and when I confronted them they claimed they couldn't look at our previous paymentsA few other complaints would be that there was no recycling center, the hot tub is not open all year round like they say , they never kept maintenance men and don't even think about having a puppy or animal hereMy fiancé and I had tried to adopt a dog because of my depression and well when we finally got a dog they tried everything in their power to fine us over every little thing from 'not filing the right paper work', us supposedly lying about her breed (which we didn't) all the way down to us not picking up her poop as it came out of her buttWe literally had just left the apartment one morning, we had been gone no more than minutes and I got a call saying "we got a complaint that your dog has been barking all day and making abnoises" (claiming that we we're being abusive and that just sent me through the roof)I stated, while irritated "we just left the apartment minutes ago and left her there so of course she's yelping and it has not been all day." (She literally will yelp for a few minutes and stop, she's a puppy.) They then said "uh, ok, I'll talk with ______ then." and hung upLike, ok, have a nice day..? Don't bother even peeing in your bathroom past 10pm unless you want someone complaining (this never happened, I'm just explaining how ridiculous some of the rules are.) It's odd that we got called about tedious things yet when my decorative dishes and clock were broken because of people slamming their doors nothing was doneWe were good tenantsWe had our rent in on time every month, paid the proper fines if needed, we had complaint on us (our dog), we were bugged by management about our dog paper work and dumb dumb thingsI mean, we never were loud after quiet hours, our dog did whine and yelp a few times if we left her, we kept our place cleanWe picked up her poop after notified of the protocol, we parked correctly and never had problems with neighborsI just never understood the all-the-time complete rude and just pure hatefulness towards usI'm glad that there have been people that have had good experiences here and I hope you do continue to have a good life, but my fiancé and I were not those peopleThis place is nice at first glance and they'll talk you through everything, be nice and welcoming (at first)It is an ok place but the deeper you look it was just thrown together and a real polished turd that they charge wayyy to much forThey will fine you for a broken toilet paper holder (literally)The management is sooo rudeI would NEVER recommend for anyone to live hereI'm sorry, but it's not worth your money, time or sanity and I think people should know of our experienceP.SYou will most likely not get your deposit back no matter how clean or nice the place isP.P.SWe don't want any apologies from Silver Ridge, the staff or the company because what's done is done and a living experience such as the 'lovely' one that was so 'kindly' offered there will never be forgottenJust PLEASE try your hardest to be nicer and do your best work for whoever comes next

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The statement given by the Village is completely untrue! I informed the office staff I was moving out on March 3, I first inquired of a buy-out on the lease, but was told that was not an option I informed the office that I was moving out of state due to work, and that I would be unable to do a walk through at the end of my lease at the end of April because I would be in [redacted] But they informed me that the ONLY time I could do a walk through was at the end of my lease, at the end of April I left my key at the front office and arranged with them to have the carpets cleaned, which I understood would be deducted from my cleaning deposit At no time, whatsoever, did they remind me of the written day notification of the termination of the lease! However, I feel that by turning in my key and arranging to have the carpets cleaned was a clear indication that I was moving Basically, I was denied a walk through At some point, it would have been professional of them to remind me of the written notification of the termination of the lease I did inquire about a co-worker taking over the lease I was already paying two months rent on an empty apartment He did not meet the requirements But even then, Silver Ridge had my key They knew the apartment was empty, that I had moved! Furthermore, we spoke to [redacted] several times regarding the payment At one time, I was on hold with them while they attempted to contact the office staff, but no one answered the phone [redacted] knew the account and amount due had been transferred back to our names When we explained this to the office staff, they said it didn't matter, that we had to pay and had no choice in the matter Regards, [redacted] & [redacted] ***

We did require an additional deposit due to our credit requirementsThe deposits do go towards any damages that happen in the aparmtnet at move outThe *** *** *** and *** *** do have to stay in the residents name throughout their lease term and theirs were supposed to stay in their
name until May 31, because they gave us their notice to vacate on May 31stThey had an appointment on Friday May 26th at 5pm to do their move out walk throughWhen Angelique and I went over to the apartment to start the walk through they were not done moving outWe explained to them that everything has to be out to do the walk through and I asked them when would they be done with all the stuff out and they said about an hourI explained to them that we close at 6pm and unfortunately the latest time we could do the walk through was at 5:30pm and that if they are done by that time to come into the office to get Angelique to do the walk throughThey showed up at the office at about 5:50pm asking to do their walk through and Angelique let them know that she was unable to do the walk through this late and that we will do the walk through on MondayWhen Angelique and I did go into the apartment to do the move out walk through the apartment was not cleanThe residents had tried to patch the walls with some kind of soft putty that turned blueWhen my cleaner went into the apartment it did take her a while to get the apartment clean to our standardsOur standard carpet cleaning for a bedroom apartment is $which every resident does get charged for the carpet cleaningMaintenance did replace the blinds in the 1st and 2nd bedroom because they were damaged and cracked/brokenThe blind wand was broken at move out so we did replace that as well as blind slatsWe had to replace the shower rod in the master bathroom because it was broken on the ends and it looked like it been pulled down and glued to the wallThe stove top was replaced because it was burnt all on the topWhen maintenance went in to turn over the apartment they did have to paint more than times because the soft putty that they put on the walls would keep bleeding through our paint

*** *** was in a legal binding contract that did require the day written notice to vacate the apartmentHe did speak to *** the assistant manager about a gentleman wanting to take over his leaseOur leasing agent *** completed the paperwork for the take over but the gentlemen was
deniedTo our best of recolection he did not ask about turning in a day notice or about moving out of his apartment just the lease takeoverWe do give the resident an inventory and inspection list upon move in to be filled out explaining any damages and cleaning in the apartment when they move inOn the inventory and inspection list he did not list that there were any issues (such as dirty appliances) in the apartment when he moved in
I have attached pictures, invoices and a copy of the ledger that does show the charges that *** was charged forI am not sure why the final account statement showed the charges as less than what they wereBut the ledger does show the correct chargesThe *** charges were not charged twice like she explainsIn the ledger it does show that he was charged for it on 4/18/and that it was paid for on 5/1/If you would like to see more pictures of the apartment we are more than willing to provide moreThis response is only letting me attach items

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
We did, in fact, pay twice for the *** Bill Once we paid the Rocky Mountain bill, in addition to the $processing fee, we immediately contacted *** and Rocky Mountain and had the accounts transferred back to our name, including the *** charge that was due on the apartment However, the *** statement had already been sent to The Village When they contacted us regarding the bill, we informed them that the amount due had been transferred back to our name The told us we absolutely had to pay them the charge, in addition to another $processing fee, or we would be sent to collectionsHad they contacted ***, as we requested, they would have seen a credit on their bill, in the amount of what was due for our apartment So we did pay the *** bill twice, once to The Village and also to *** as they were unable to refund us the money, since it had been transferred and deducted automatically from our account All of this was explained, in great detail, to management
I would also like to know why they did not allow my husband to do a walk through at the time he moved out His apartment was immaculate and was not left dirty, as seen in the photos The only people that had access to the apartment was management, whom my husband left his key with at the time he left Had he been able to do a walk through, any complaints they had about the state of the apartment would have been resolved upon his cleaning it himself, before he left We were later told, by Kari, that they should have done the walk through when he moved out in March She could not tell us why they denied him that

We lived here for 13 months (some of which were ok and the majority that were stress-filled, rude, cannot-wait-until-our-lease-is-up) and yes the place was nice(ish) but definitely not what you're paying nice. We were disappointed in the overall place from the management to maintenance.
We moved in toward the end of September 2014 and the second day had complained about our master bath fan that didn't work and our dishwasher. Some maintenance men had came up to our house and 'fixed' the dishwasher, yet we had to have them come up and fix it three more times. We finally got fed up and just had to deal with it the remainder of our time living there.
A maintenance man, the next day had come up to fix our fan and had told us that he'd have to order a new one. Well, we didn't expect it to take 4 months..
On top of this issue. The on-site laundry room was never fixed. When we moved in there were two dryers that were out of Oder. K, no big deal except the dyers were not ever fixed until January and then when we went down to use them the dyer took our money but did not start.. This has happened with three dryers and even when we complained they wouldn't refund our money nor have the dryers been fixed. We were rather angry considering the laundry room was closed for a good 2-3 weeks for 'repairs' yet not a single thing changed.
Another issue we came across was we were paying for the highest speed internet because of gaming and online schooling yet whenever we'd test our network speeds it was terrible and we'd constantly have to restart it. Now, I understand there's a lot of people, but don't make us pay for something if you cannot offer it.
We started to really consider not renewing our lease and to move when our home was invaded by maintenance men. We had gotten a call saying that being as it was a new year they were going to clean the air filters in everyone's home. Well, they said that it would start at a certain time and if no one was home they'd go in anyway. K, I get that. Well, my fiancé was at work and I hopped in the shower. Well, I did not expect them to be to our apartment sooo quickly and I heard the doorbell. I wrapped a towel on and ran to the hallway and yelled "give me a second". I know they heard me because then the ringing and knocking stopped. Well, I started to dry off and throw on some clothes quickly and in the process of doing so I heard my front door unlock. I ran to the hallway and they didn't say a word just came in. I said "uh, hi" and they just looked at me, and went about their business. Very rude, very invasive.
This happened another time when both my fiancé and I were away for 2 weeks and when we returned home we smelt somewhat fresh paint. I decided to just ask the main office and they said "yes, we did some repairs". What repairs? And without contacting us!? We didn't have a note, call, email, nothing! We didn't find anything missing or toyed with but it's odd that they did repairs without notifying us. Plus, home checks are done once a year and the only home check they've done was the filter cleaning. I'm pretty sure our smoke detectors never worked because in the process of cooking some dinner I've burnt a few things and smoke was crazy yet no alarms.
Plus, the storage on the balcony was literally falling apart and nails sticking out everywhere. They've used paint to cover up scratches on toilets, bathtubs, etc. the walls have so many holes that were not covered up well.
There was a time when I complained about the noise, door slamming, stomping in stairwells and the office told me that they would put up some notices on everyone's doors and well that NEVER happened.
The grounds are not safe. Parking is ridiculous and for months there was a massive hole in the pavement and they finally put down a cone and that cone sat there forever and when the hole was finally fixed it was done very poorly.
When we had first moved in they were fixing some sidewalk sections and well, they didn't inform anyone of this until two days later while still in the process and they had already been jackhammering a section right in front of our parking space. Scratched up my boyfriends car and one day we found a nail right by his tire.
I was talked to VERY rudely when I didn't take our Christmas lights down. Yes, it was already February but I do things and I didn't light them or gave them flinging about. I got a call saying "we are doing balcony inspections and we need you to take down your Christmas lights, we strive for a clean look and we don't want any eyesores". I was polite and took them down but as I went to our balcony I looked out at the balconies with trash cans, shoes, rusty grills and just shook my head.
We was extremely mad when I found out about our rent. I usually went and got the money orders and when my fiancé went with me he said "no that's wrong" and corrected the amount. Turns out for 6 months I had been giving the apartments extra money and NO ONE HAD TOLD ME! They never refunded me. They stole money from us and when I confronted them they claimed they couldn't look at our previous payments.
A few other complaints would be that there was no recycling center, the hot tub is not open all year round like they say , they never kept maintenance men and don't even think about having a puppy or animal here.. My fiancé and I had tried to adopt a dog because of my depression and well when we finally got a dog they tried everything in their power to fine us over every little thing from 'not filing the right paper work', us supposedly lying about her breed (which we didn't) all the way down to us not picking up her poop as it came out of her butt.. We literally had just left the apartment one morning, we had been gone no more than 2 minutes and I got a call saying "we got a complaint that your dog has been barking all day and making abnormal noises" (claiming that we we're being abusive and that just sent me through the roof). I stated, while irritated "we just left the apartment 2 minutes ago and left her there so of course she's yelping and it has not been all day." (She literally will yelp for a few minutes and stop, she's a puppy.) They then said "uh, ok, I'll talk with ______ then." and hung up. Like, ok, have a nice day..?
Don't bother even peeing in your bathroom past 10pm unless you want someone complaining (this never happened, I'm just explaining how ridiculous some of the rules are.) It's odd that we got called about tedious things yet when my decorative dishes and clock were broken because of people slamming their doors nothing was done.
We were good tenants. We had our rent in on time every month, paid the proper fines if needed, we had 1 complaint on us (our dog), we were bugged by management about our dog paper work and dumb dumb things. I mean, we never were loud after quiet hours, our dog did whine and yelp a few times if we left her, we kept our place clean. We picked up her poop after notified of the protocol, we parked correctly and never had problems with neighbors. I just never understood the all-the-time complete rude and just pure hatefulness towards us.
I'm glad that there have been people that have had good experiences here and I hope you do continue to have a good life, but my fiancé and I were not those people. This place is nice at first glance and they'll talk you through everything, be nice and welcoming (at first). It is an ok place but the deeper you look it was just thrown together and a real polished turd that they charge wayyy to much for. They will fine you for a broken toilet paper holder (literally). The management is sooo rude. I would NEVER recommend for anyone to live here. I'm sorry, but it's not worth your money, time or sanity and I think people should know of our experience.
P.S. You will most likely not get your deposit back no matter how clean or nice the place is.
P.P.S. We don't want any apologies from Silver Ridge, the staff or the company because what's done is done and a living experience such as the 'lovely' one that was so 'kindly' offered there will never be forgotten. Just PLEASE try your hardest to be nicer and do your best work for whoever comes next.

I did contact [redacted] to see if there was a credit on the account for where [redacted] had paid and we also paid. They told me that there was no credit on the account. I did pay for the bill because we got an invoice showing that the gas was taken out of the residents name and I did have to pay the invoice.
The only way we would have not done a walk through was if he had not turned in his 30 day notice into the office to move which we would have explained to him about putting in the notice. He did not call and ask about doing a walk through but he did ask about getting someone added to his lease but the gentlemen that applied was denied. If someone calls our office and asks us about when they
move out of the apartment we do inform them of the 30 day notice that is required. He did not ask to do a walkthrough of the apartment when he was living here because he had not talked to anyone about moving out of his apartment until April 15, 2014 when [redacted] emailed [redacted] the 30 day notice to vacate form to be filled out which [redacted] did send back to [redacted] that day. We do call a few days before the end of the month to schedule any walk throughs of the apartments that are vacating. He would have never been denied to do a walkthrough of his apartment unless he had not put in his notice of his apartment which we would have explained to him about our requirements of putting in a 30 day notice. We do a walkthrough of the apartments when a resident has put their 30 day notice to vacate in and we go over the inventory and inspection list that the resident turned in when they moved in and they write down anything that was dirty or damaged. When [redacted] moved into the apartment he did write that the apartment was good and did not write that anything was damaged or dirty when he moved in. We do use the same form when someone moves out to help with not charging for something that was not their fault. But if they do not write that anything was dirty on the inventory and inspection list when they move in we do charge back for that. We do not do any oral agreements and this is a way to show that the resident was not responsible for damages when they move in.
