The Village Consignment Shop

Review: On September 19, 2012 I consigned a black, female, long mink coat size small with monogram [redacted] and a black mink hat to Village Consignment Shop. Received receipt in the mail 2 weeks later for the coat and hat priced at $1100.00. The expiration date was 1-15-2013. On January 8, 9, 10, 2013 I made frequent calls to VCS and left messages since no one answered the phone. I finally drove to VCS on January 11 to find out status of my merchandise. No one knew where the coat was so I was told I would receive a call from the owner. I finally had to drive back on January 18 since I received NO call back. I was then told that the coat was sold for half price and was on layaway. I was informed that I would receive my money as soon as the coat was sold. On February 1, 2013 I again returned to the store. This time I was told that the coat was sold for half price on January 18. When I asked for my money from the sale, the employee told me that the owner would call me. I have been extremely patient while calls are not returned and I've received no money (or merchandise). I ask that this matter be resolved as I feel the owner has not been honest or truthful.Desired Settlement: Return my mink coat, hat or pay me $550.00 for the sale.
