The Vineyards Apartments

We have lived in our apartment for about yearsIn that time span, we had a few problems with our neighbors, but nothing we couldn't handle The problem came with the staff in the officeFirst, we received a letter that stated our Term Lease for 12-months would be $ We called the office (Sept14) and they told us to just come down to the office and sign a new lease by the end of the monthWe went on September 24, The following week I decided to go down and get a copy of the leaseWhen I went over the Lease the "Rent and Charges" , Paragraph 6, had $and the "Utility Addendum" was only charging us for Trash, $We contacted the office immediately trying to figure out what exactly we needed to pay and the woman helping us told us that the Manager would call us back because she didn't understand what we were talking about We waited almost a week before anyone contacted usIn that phone call she told us we had signed the lease for the $and if we wanted a copy of "Their Lease" we could have oneI went down and got a copy only to realize that the office has updated the "Utility Addendum" with the amount equaling the $My question was why were we obligated to pay the $740, even though when we signed the contract, the contract stated $plus $for trash? We didn't even sign the Lease Renewal Letter stating we accepted the $rent; the manager showed me this paper.Technically speaking the only lease we signed was the $685, and then the office changed it to cover their mistakes.I didn't think it's was fair that the office could just go back and change the original lease that we signedRecently we moved out and were sent a statement with "damages" recorded as of 05/31/with a status as "Past Due"We moved out on the 05/25/and by the manager I was told "we could make payments." I tried multiple times for get a hold of someone in the office, but with no availI could not even reach the voice mailIn the move out letter it stated, " You have a balance owing $280.00, which is due and payable within days from the date of this letter." The letter itself had a date of June 5, The time stamp on the envelope had June 18, I literally received this letter on June 22, In previous emails I sent sent the manager, she didn't understand what I was needingAnd that was the 17th of JuneSo, according to the Move Out Statment, June 19, 2015, was the date my payment was due before it would be turned over to collectionThe company is completely unprofessional, except for the Maintenance DepartmentThey at least finish what inquiries are given to them, in my experience
