August 21, 2014Dear *** ***:This letter is in response to the above complaintAt your request, the complaint number is being used in lieu of the complainant’s name.Firstly, in response to the complainant’s contention that it was “totally unsatisfactory” for her to have to
wait a significant period of time to receive dentures, the process of being fitted with dentures is a very lengthy process, often requiring adjustments here in our office or at a laboratory, and we do everything possible to ensure that the patient is fitted properly with dentures in a timely manner. In this case, we did everything possible to fit the patient to her satisfaction in as reasonable a time frame as was possibleWe completed her extractions in December in preparation for fabrication of her dentureThereafter, she was seen in this office on eight separate occasions between February and June for try-ins, adjustments, re-impressions, and even for an in-person meeting which we scheduled for her with a technician from the laboratory making the dentureWe received the patient’s complaint from the Revdex.com dated July 31, 2014; however, contrary to the complaint, the patient had received her denture on July 28, However, after receiving the complaint, on August 12, 2014, a member of our staff called the patient to make sure she had the denture and it was fitting properlyThe patient stated that the denture was fine, but that she wanted the back part of it adjustedTherefore, we scheduled an appointment for her to come in for adjustments on August 20, 2014.On August 20, 2014, when she came in for adjustments, an Associate Dentist of this office made adjustments, after which the denture was observed to sit/fit properlyHowever, the patient stated that she did not want any buccal retention because it made her lip protrude out slightlyTherefore, all buccal retentions were reduced, which decreased retentionWe did everything medically possible to satisfy this patient, but we think that part of her dissatisfaction results from the fact that she has never had a complete denture before, and wearing them is something new for her to which she has to adjust, and which is why she does not like the buccal making her lip protrude slightly.Again, I reiterate that the Washington Dental Studio does everything possible to ensure that our patients are treated fairly, and as expeditiously as possible, as was the case with the current patientWe pride ourselves in providing patients with the best possible dental careIf you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office.Sincerely,DrWilliam E

PROBLEM:
This is an ongoing issue, I have filed a complaint before. #[redacted]. The issued has not been resolved. They gave me dentures which still do not fit, I can't even talk or close my mouth. I did tell the dentist, he said I had big gums so it was nothing he could do. These dentures are horrible, he filed down the gum line, I couldn't smile if I wanted to cause you can see where the dentures end. The is the first dental office I have ever been to. I need my teeth, I am a singer, I have lost so much money not being able to perform because of their negligence. They received their money for services and I demand my teeth be done correctly. The next thing is to find me a lawyer to make them do the right thing. This has been ongoing since December 2013. Please help me!DESIRED OUTCOME:Need dentures that fit my mouth.
