Review: We purchased a short-term subscription (electronic issue only) for The Washington Times through a door-to-door fund raiser for a student to earn money for academic reasons. The student was informative and the paperwork states that failure to notify The Washington Times would result in subscription renewal. He stated that we would receive the electronic subscription information through the mail once the subscription was initiated. We never received any information regarding the electronic delivery methods, however we did receive a newspaper. The subscription was for me specifically, but normally I leave for work before the paper is delivered, which is why we opted for the electronic version. As we waited for the electronic delivery information, I would throw the physical newspaper out due to my inability to read it in the evenings.

I received a phone call a few weeks after the subscription ended stating that I would need to provide my credit card information to continue to receive the newspaper. When I informed the sales rep that I didn't want to renew and that I never received electronic delivery information, she stated the physical paper is delivered along with the electronic version (even though physical delivery cost twice as much as electronic) but offered no insight on the method to read the paper electronically. When I informed her that I didn't want to continue the subscription, she informed me that I needed to pay for the deliveries that continued after the subscription ended and up until that day's delivery. I wanted to review the subscription to make sure that was true. Once I verified that the subscription did state that, I tried calling back however their office closes at 1630. I rarely get off of work prior to 1700, so I have called and left multiple messages that I no longer wish to receive the paper and that I'd like them to return my call so I can make payment. Weeks have compiled at this point and I have yet to receive a call, email, or for them to cease the delivery of the newspaper. Unless I have the time to leave work to call their office where I will be put on hold for an extended period of time, I am forced to continue paying for a newspaper that I don't have the opportunity to read and no longer want.Desired Settlement: I would like for The Washington Times to cease delivery of the newspaper and cancel any payment due as a result of their inconvenient billing office hours, customer service practices, and failure to deliver the requested product.

Review: Last September 2012 a girl delivering the Washington times came to my apartment and sold me some issues of the Washington Times for $15 until the end of October 2012 - I paid 15 dollars, the issues were delivered until the end of October which is correct -I did not receive any more issues after that (I did not request anymore Issues after that) - the problem is that someone representing the Washington Times from a phone number that keeps calling me on a regular basis ([redacted]) is trying to collect $15 again - telling me the that the Washington Times has been delivering the issues and that I should pay - I told the representative that I did not request any more issuesDesired Settlement: I just want the Washington Times representative to stop collecting money from me for "Washington Times" issues that were not delivered and issues I did not request - Please stop bothering me - And I will never purchased the Washington Times ever again

Thanks -
