I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

The watch was rebuilt by The Watch Co July 19th, 2013 and I was given a one year warranty. The two tone datejust rolex is a water proof watch. If the repairs were done correctly the watch would NEVER leak. This is a $2500 watch. The Watch Co does not want to honor their one year warranty, and want to charge me another $225 dollars after I already paid them $450 to rebuild the watch. I want my watch back and repaired for free. It's December now and I have not had my watch since I brought it back to them to fix in September. Please expedite this process. Thank you, [redacted]. I have attached a copy of the receipt with the warranty and the date of service.

RE: Complaint- ID# [redacted]

To: [redacted]

or Whom It may Concern

I would like to go over the recent complaint that was received by [redacted].

 I acquired

the Watch Repair store in early September

as a purchase under new ownership. Mr. [redacted]

visited my job and presented me the watch that was damaged.   Mr. [redacted] then presented

me the receipt that had a cleaning that was completed back in july.  He

stated that the watch is "now

not working' after inspecting the watch I saw that

the damage was done by the fault of Mr. [redacted]. The watch showed

evidence of water

damage and the inside was damaged from the negligence.   A cleaning is not done by water, especially with Rolex watches.

I advised Mr. [redacted] that the watch was damaged due to water

and this is not under the warranty or

guarantee of the shop, this  was due to the fault of the customer.

 The receipt

also showed that the cleaning was done in the month of

july, the watch was brought to the job in the month of September, if there

was any damage from the cleaning

then this would have been recognized immediately.

We pride in customer

service at the watch repair shop so I offered

 Mr. [redacted]

a resolution, I told  him we will fix the watch free of labor but he would need to pay for the parts that was damaged

by the water. He agreed and the watch was fixed with a one year warranty.

If he didn't agree to the terms, then the watch wouldn't have simply be given to us for repair.  The damaged was done by the owner and we provided free labor and even paid out of our own pockets

for extra expense.  Please discuss

this with Mr. [redacted] as he recognized his fault at that time and doesn't want to take self responsibility for his poor actions.  Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

I made a mistake taking my watch here, he said he could fix it and cost $35..I left my watch, week later picked it up, took it home , stopped working..I looked closer to my watch, did not have the same parts in it...I ended up making 5 trips to this place, taking my watch back 3 times...the last time I picked it up, he took it out of the finish box, still not working..he looked at me and asked, what is the matter w... view more
