The Wedding Boutique

Review: I went to The wedding boutique to seek for a wedding gown. The gown I wanted they did not have in stock nor was it in any catalogs, so I had an agreement with the owner [redacted] that she was supposed to go to a bridal show and see what is coming out according to my style and picture that I gave her. Because she was supposed to be in search for my dress I was told and agreed to make a deposit of $500.00, and that was in the fall. One payment was made for 350.00 on Sept 30 and another payment was made on Nov 1st for 150.00 which equals 500.00 The deal was if the dress cost more I was going to pay the difference and if the dress was less I'm supposed to get accessories from the shop to meet up the price. Mrs. [redacted] told me that she was going to contact me by phone in 2-3 weeks to tell me what was found and I gave her my email and she was supposed to send me pictures of different styles found. A month passed by and I got no call or email from Mrs. [redacted] so I called the shop several times, and my maid of Honor called many times. By the end of January early February I finally reached someone in the shop and they said she wasn't here I would have to call back later. I called back that afternoon and when I spoke to Mrs. [redacted] she said she wasn't going to give me any money back because of the time she wasted looking for a dress that was never found. She never found a dress or bought one, and I told her how are you keeping my money for a dress that was never bought or found then she said I had to pay for the time she wasted looking. I told her it was okay, she didn't have to bother looking anymore because its been to long and that I would go elsewhere, which I did. She said if I were to get anything back it would be in 30 days and it was only going to be 250.00. I never signed a contract saying that nothing was refundable, and besides that I'm not returning anything to get cash back I paid for a service that I didn't receive. I called my attorney, and they send a letter to Mrs. [redacted] on my behalf and I was told by my attorney if I don't get a response within 2 weeks to pursue this matter in court. Its been 2 weeks in counting and never got a phone call or and email about this matter. I want to settle this case without having to take it to court I just want my 500.00 back.Desired Settlement: I want my 500.00 back. People work to hard for their money for it to be taken away like that.
