Review: After my water heater broke, I checked the local stores and couldn’t find the part needed. I found several companies on the internet selling the needed part, one of which was The Wholesale Warehouse. While The Wholesale Warehouse was not the cheapest option, they are located relatively close to me and advertised that they would be shipping FedEx Ground. Since none of the companies offered an overnight option, I chose to buy from The Wholesale Warehouse and paid around $5.00 more for the product and $18.28 more for the shipping over the next cheapest store in order to get my package in what should be two day rather than five. After receiving my tracking number, I found out that The Wholesale Warehouse shipped my package using FedEx SmartPost instead of the shipping method that I have paid for. The two day shipping I paid for has now taken at least five, and according to the taking number it will take eight days to get to me.

I called The Wholesale Warehouse and after several back and forth phone calls I eventually did not get a call back. When I called back in I was not permitted to speak to a [redacted]. When I asked if there is anything they are willing to do the answer was no, they even refused refund my shipping.

In the end, I chose to buy from The Wholesale Warehouse because I would get my product quicker, but due to them not giving me the shipping that I paid for it will actually take longer than the cheaper competition.Desired Settlement: Ideally, since there is no way for the shipment to get here when it was supposed to, The Wholesale Warehouse would send me the needed part overnight along with a shipping label to return the other part once it arrived (which is what I would do in the same situation). However, a refund of my shipping would be a start and also to advertise on the site that they use the much slower FedEx SmartPost option.

Response:

The customer made a website purchase on Saturday 08/**. We are closed on weekends. The order was shipped via FedEx SmartPost on Monday 08/**. The tracking number is [redacted] The FedEx website shows that the order was delivered on Saturday 08/**. The customer has called us on multiple occasions. He has spoken to [redacted]s. He was given a full refund on Friday 08/**, the same day that this complaint letter is dated. The complaint letter was sent USPS by the Revdex.com and we did not receive it until Monday 08/**. While the customer's Visa card may or may not reflect the credit at this time, we have documentation to show that the refund was initiated at 8:13AM PDT on 08/**. The customer can keep the product that he ordered as well as the money that was refunded to him. The complaint letter states that the customer believes that he should have received the order in 2 business days rather than 5 business days. Our website's shopping c art does not quote transit times and our shipping policy specifically states that transit times are not guaranteed. While the customer may have had a different expectation the reality is that the items were delivered 5 days after they were shipped and he was refunded his entire purchase price, for the items as well as the delivery charge, before the items were delivered and before this complaint letter was issued by the Revdex.com. As an active Revdex.com member for the past 8 years our company has had zero complaints. We believe that we have abided by our website's policies regarding shipping and transit times. We also believe that we have gone above and beyond what is required by providing a full refund prior to the Revdex.com issuing a letter. There is no pleasing this customer.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. However, for the record I would like to add that I continued to try and resolve the matter after I filed the complaint and finally did talk to a [redacted]. The [redacted] was rude on the phone, raised his voice, and told me that he was going to cancel my order so that I wouldn’t get anything because refunding my shipping would cause him to lose money. I was surprised to find the package and refused delivery. I did see the refund posted on my credit card.

Also, if you see the attached I paid for FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery, which is also on the seller’s website. So although neither the seller nor myself is out anything, I still believe that this seller is selling items on false pretenses.

Sincerely,

Review: Ordered a vacuum gage and received as desired. Decided to return and did not send back in original box, as was advised to. My bad. When the item arrived at their facility on April **, they, in their words, "Rejected it". OK. Now what. It's been almost two weeks and I haven't received it back. The [redacted] tracking number said it was delivered on April **. I called and spoke to [redacted] and all she said was it was rejected. I went on thier website and left messages that went unanswered. It's thier policy to reject, I get that. But what happens now? It's been two weeks and no pacjkage back. So far I'm out over $250.00. This is completely UNSAT!Desired Settlement: As far as I can tell, the Wholesale Warehouse still has my vacuum gage. I want the vacuum gage that I paid for.The trackning number,[redacted] , says it was delivered on April **, 2015 , 3:34 pm to the front desk / reception. As far as I know, it's still there.
