I was contacted by this firm and told that I was eligible for $5k from a tax deed sale from a property owned by my deceased father (he died 1/years ago)I was sent a service agreement to authorize the firm to collect the funds for 50%This was odd because my father kept meticulous records and I had seen nothing about the propertyI verified the address, checked public records and found the previous owner had the same name but a different middle initial than my fatherThis was time consuming and disturbing to have to go through my father's recordsI know it was an oversight, but more careful review could have saved me this upsetting experience
