we intered into a contract with mrs. [redacted] for custom window blinds and custom stain wood shutters this customer met with...

the sales reps and chose the colors in her home . the blinds were delivered a week after contract was signed the husband refused to let us install them said they were the wrong color. I sent the sales rep back out with the color swatch they chose from and the blinds that were orderd to make sure they were the correct color and they were the ones that were chosen by mrs. [redacted] her husband didnt like the color she chose and wanted another color . I told him if they would have been made the wrong color by the mfg we would get it fixed but that was not the case they were the correct color . I told him he would have to pay for a new color if he wanted to switch they decided to keep the ones his wife picked out in the color she chose which was the right color. the shutters take aprox 6-8 weeks on aversge but with an unforseen port strike the shutters were delayed the situation was completly out of our hands and we were not to blame for the port strike since we have no control over this the shutters come from overseas and unfortunatly have to go through the port of long beach to get here. we were in contact with Mrs. [redacted] explaining this I did my best to keep her informed I left her messages we were working to get her taken care of as promptly as possible. we were at the mercy of the port and the back log it created as were millions of merchants . as soon as the shutters were released we contacted Mrs [redacted] she is hard to reach leaving several messages because we knew how important it was to get her shutters installed due to the fact she had called and screamed and yelled we were told she was on vacation and she would contact us when her husband wanted them installed . we finally set the install for may 4 2015 when my installer brought the shutters in she wouldent let him install . she called me screaming and cursing saying its the wrong color and she wasnt going to except them . I had the sales rep get there asap he was there in 10 mins they took the sample which she chose from and the shutter and brought them in showing her they were exactly the same color and they were the same as what she had picked . she just kept saying over and over im not going to look at it and looked up at the celing refusing to acknolwdge that we were right . she has had buyers remourse from the begenning when her husband didnt like the color she chose. Everything she picked is custom made for her home in the colors they chose in there home we provided proof of every color against each product and we were always right . from the beginning in the home the husband was arguing with her he didnt like her color choices and they have been trying to figure out anyway possible to get out of her choice. We sold her these custom products in the custom colors she picked out we have a signed contract showing this we have provided the products as per agreed in color and selection she chose she therefiore owes us the remaining balance for the products in the amount of $2450.00
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/28) */
[redacted] has fabricated this story beyond belief. Why would I let the reps in my home if I were going to look at the ceiling. We are adults. Furthermore, I never went on vacation. Another lie. I hope they kept phone records. In addition because we refused delivery after allowing both the installers and reps into our home, and after asking them to leave, my husband left for the dry cleaners two minutes down the street. Coincidently the police were called on my husband stating he was possibly driving intoxicated. Ridiculous! My husband saw [redacted] vehicle in the parking lot as he exited the dry cleaners. I mention this because it shows the character of the reps we were dealing with. [redacted] is a former police officer and well he no longer works as an officer. I'm just saying.....In addition, you cannot recreate the contract. You cannot add more to it than what is there.
And another thing I took pictures of [redacted] holding up the swatch of the color we chose. I guess he forgot. I would like to upload a picture of [redacted] holding up the correct color and the color we received. We took Lots of pictures and a video. He must have forgotten. It is good for others to know our experience with these people.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2015/05/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I agree. By now our attorney should have already contacted the Window Decorators. Especially after their employee [redacted] or his name may legally be Mr. [redacted] known to us as [redacted]. This time [redacted] came by our home a couple of nights ago. My neighbors witnessed [redacted] banging on our door and prowling around our yard at 10:30 at night. My neighbors called the police. My neighbors told us and the police that Mr. [redacted] prowled around our home for quite some time. He was seen looking over our fence, and hiding behind the trash cans on the side or our house. The police showed up after [redacted] had already left. What type of respectable business does this? We have no other choice but to take other legal actions and precautions against such a scary person who represents The Window Decorators. We are mere consumers who were simply looking to buy blinds and shutters for our home. When we came across these people, and we had no idea that we would end up in this mess. We still do not have shutters for our home. It saddens us to read [redacted]'s statements as one to mimick a respectable business. However, we hold some responsibility in that we did not do our homework on researching this company's reviews before getting involved with them. They have many negative reviews from consumers way before our interactions. All I can say is People do your homework!
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/05/29) */
I am responding to the second response to infom Mrs. [redacted] I do not wish to be treated this way she has falsely accused me and my company of unscrupulous dealings . We have been in business over 30 years and never in all this time have I had any customer have a problem with a color they chose and signed for on thier contract. it is unfortunate but we have no other alternative but be are taking Mrs. [redacted] to court we have a court date for july 13,2015 she has given us no other recourse than to settle this in court .
