I am rejecting this response because:  I mailed in a total of four offers in 2016 and should be receiving $48.00 in rebate money.

Hello, after looking further into this, .It looks like the clearinghouse’s system marked the offer as limited to 4 per household when it should have only been limited to 4 per transaction. His additional submissions were essentially marked as duplicate. The clearinghouse is adjusting this and processing the other submissions. He will be sent a check for the remaining $30.00.  We apologize for the confusion and hopefully this is met to his satisfaction.Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: will accept upon receipt of checks

Review: The Wine Group advertises a $36 mail in rebate for [redacted] wine at Premier Wine & Liquor. My family members and I had bought 6 cases. We had all separately submitted for the case rebate. Approximately 3 months later, half of the rebates came in for $3. In email correspondence with [redacted] (Consumer Relations), she indicated that 3 of the rebates were 'unclear'. With 6 different people submitting these rebates, it seems odd that all 3 were unclear. The other 3 rebates for the cases were never reimbursed at all. This deal should not be advertised, if the company is not willing to honor it. The total amount expected for all 6 rebates was $216.Desired Settlement: I would like the $216 in rebates that were submitted for 6 cases. I can provide a copy of the [redacted] receipt noting the 6 cases that were purchased.

Response:

This letter is in response to the complaint received from the consumer listed above. Ms. [redacted] and members of her family submitted six (6) rebate requests for a $36.00 rebate on the purchase of our flipflop wines. Like many consumer products companies, The Wine Group utilizes an outside clearinghouse to process mail-in rebate requests. In the rare instance when a consumer contacts our Consumer Relations team with questions regarding the status of a mail-in rebate, we turn to the outside clearinghouse to let us know the status. If there is an issue, we do our utmost to collaborate with the consumer and clearinghouse to rectify the issue. This case is no different. After hearing from Ms. [redacted] regarding her concerns, we reached out to our outside clearinghouse to learn the status of her rebate and the rebate requests from her family members. Please see below for the recap from our outside clearinghouse of each rebate Ms [redacted] inquired about: Rebate Request #1: B[redacted], [redacted] This customer was issued a $36.00 rebate check on or around the beginning of October of this year. Rebate Request #2: [redacted] Rebate Request #3: [redacted] These customers originally received a $3.00 rebate as our rebate house was not able to clearly read the rebate request and accompanying materials. After Ms. [redacted] contacted us complaining that the full rebate was not provided, we issued additional checks each in the amount of $33.00 which were issued about the second week of October 2015. Rebate Request #4: [redacted] The rebate company processing the rebate requests on our behalf did not have any record of receiving the request, however, we have provided payment to Ms. [redacted] in the amount of $36.00 at her request. Rebate Request #5: [redacted] Rebate Request #6: [redacted] This rebate offer (please see attached copy of the rebate offer) was only allowed in the State of New York. As you can see, the rebate requests listed above were provided by individuals living outside the State of New York. Because the offer is only good in New York, we were not allowed to offer any compensation to the two individuals listed above. Our consumer relations department has explained this information to Ms. [redacted] and we tried to work with her to make the situation satisfactory. We were unable to satisfy the two rebates requests for those family members that live in states where the offer was not valid. We hope this answers any confusion regarding her claim. If anything else is needed, please let us know. You can reach me at [redacted].

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: Please send the original 'unclear' rebates. I should not have had to chase down these rebates. My writing is very neat so I cannot accept the explanation until you are able to prove what was unclear. If I did not contact your company, the remaining $30 on those rebates would not have been reimbursed.
