Review: [redacted] the owner and operator of Behlen plumbing & Heating out of [redacted], [redacted] installed a brand new slant fin oil burner in my home less than 4 months ago. It has been a nightmare since the installation.[redacted] had no clue to what he was doing and had to make a series of emergency calls begging friends and colleagues to help him finish the job. After the install I have to purge the system every 2 weeks otherwise no heat will come up. I have heat pouring through baseboards when we are not even calling for heat( stat is turned off and heat is coming up). We have more heat than the stat is calling for in our bedroom. Brutally hotter than the rest of the house. And now 4 months later, no heat or hot water. The unit will not turn on and [redacted]'s response was to call a serviceman. Nothing has worked or is working since the installation. I paid paul over $5500.00Desired Settlement: I want the unit to work, and be paid for any cost that requires the unit to work. Its that simple.

I am writing in reference to [redacted]'s complaint.

I can understand his frustration with this matter. However, we are not at fault.

We take great care to ensure that important matters such as this are properly managed. In this case, I had installed the Slant/Fin boiler, and it was wired and working before I left the job. I have over 15 years of experience in this, and there was no need for me to "make a series of emergency calls to finish the job" as [redacted] has UNTRUTHFULLY stated. Upon completion THAT DAY, [redacted] did indeed pay me for the services rendered because the unit was installed successfully and to his satisfaction. When [redacted] called to complain about his heat, I personally went to his house the VERY next day, on a SUNDAY to take care of this matter. Upon inspection of the unit, I found there was nothing wrong with the installation. The issue was found to be integrally in the existing piping in the slab. The system had air in it, which stops hot water from moving through the system which is called an "Airlock". I advised [redacted] of this. [redacted] was uns atisfied and still felt as if this was my fault.

To settle this matter, and prove myself free from fault, I decided to call a Slant/Fin representative to come inspect my installation and the unit. After over an hour and a half, the Slant/Fin representative [redacted] ([redacted], ###-###-####) and myself mutually agreed that there could possibly be a slab leak which would cause this issue. [redacted] found NOTHING wrong with the installation or the unit.

[redacted] agreed to retract his claim with the Revdex.com.

I 100% stand by my work and my company. This is the FIRST complaint we have ever received and I believe this to be unfair and untruthful. I take pride in what I do, and I have many satisfied and repeat customers to show for it. This was an unfortunate situation, but I will not be held accountable for something I didn't do. I'm thankful **.[redacted] was able to prove there was no error on my part.
