Review: On Aug *, 2012 I paid $2,500 to Matt Titus, LLC to provide matchmaking services (specifically four introductions that matched my profile). I spent eight months consistently contacting [redacted] to render the services and still no services were provided. In August 2013 [redacted] acknowledged via phone that he failed to make any introductions and a refund was in order. During the time I was waiting to hear back from [redacted] regarding my refund I came across the following site [redacted]) that documents his similar business practices with other clients. I only wish these reports had been posted when I researched [redacted] prior to paying for his services. On November *, 2013 [redacted] contacted me via email to inform me that I intend to make a full payment by December *, 2013. Two weeks later [redacted] indicated I am not in a financial position to immediately refund you the $2,500 that I admittedly, without question, owe you. I have every intention of paying you the amount back in full. I'm sorry that I just can't write you a check but due to a massive personal investment I made in late spring that I took a bath on and the slowing of my business during the holiday season, I just can't write you a check at this exact time. [redacted] follow-up was sending me a non-collateral promissory note that he indicated he would notarize. I indicated that I would not sign his non-collateral promissory note that stated: the $2,500 refund would be made in six installments beginning in 2014; no timeline for payment; no interest would be accrued on what he owes so if he failed to make a payment there was no penalty; and once I signed this note which [redacted] said was to "protect me" I would not be able to issue him a notice of nonpayment if I didn't hear from him or discuss my experience with his business publicly. [redacted] last email communication sent on December *, 2013 indicated that he will try and keep in contact with me. Ive wasted a considerable amount of time contacting [redacted] trying to resolve this matter to no avail. Ive been more than reasonable and allowed more than enough time for [redacted] to settle this matter. Now I want closure.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to resolve this matter by providing me my $2,500 refund in full as stated in his original communications.

Following is the home address he listed in a promissory note: [redacted]
Also, I'm attaching my email correspondance with [redacted] concerning this matter that I was unable to load in the system when I submitted the complaint.

Response:
I did correspond
with [redacted] and promise to initiate a refund in full. What I want to
express is I genuinely tried to introduce appropriate men to her. I thought she
was a lovely person, but in my business, things are not cut and dry. The
"product" I provide is a database of elite eligible men who I spend a
great deal of time meeting, interviewing, screening and vetting for my clients.
The process encompasses a great deal of time, energy and effort on my part. That being said, I can’t control the next
stage of the process, that being one’s level of interest and attraction to another person.
While I proposed many different men to
[redacted], it was unfortunate that not one of the numerous men in my
database was interested in meeting her. I did not disclose this to her because I
did not want to hurt her feelings, and I really hoped to find men who would
ultimately be interested in meeting her. I tried, I really did. I would
be inclined to make a partial refund based on the work that I DID do on her
behalf since she is not taking into account all of the hours, in-person
meetings and such that I put into selecting appropriate matches as part of her
package. Since her situation was unique (one I've never come across is 9 years
in this business), I promised a full refund. I never reneged on my promise as
you can see from what [redacted] said. The only reason the time frames have
been in question is her suggestion and threats that she will publicly defame me
and my business. Any person in business issuing a full refund would attach a
release protecting themselves, especially when the person has already threatened
public defamation. As [redacted] mentioned
earlier, as an entrepreneur, I am always trying to increase my business’s
potential and have recently made a significant re-investment , making any
unexpected expense (refunds) very difficult. I am trying to be a man that
stands by his reputation and his word and was hoping to give [redacted] piece of mind
and comfort by giving her a notarized promissory note, which I am confident
that anyone in this industry would never do. I have only received 2 negative
reviews (as [redacted] stated) in 9 years of business. I have worked with
over 2500 women as paying clients so receiving 2 negative reviews in nearly a
decade is something I am actually proud of.
