I don't know how they could have gone this long without a negative review Maybe they deal with estates where no one is on the premises to see what they do They promise the moon - that they are bringing in qualified buyers who are also collectors, and very experienced Actually they are bringing buyers who want the things for nothing to inventory their stores And even though I was paying Metro Estate Brokers a commission on everything they sold - they wanted to build the relationships with they buyers more than with me They sold my good things very cheaply and these buyers come in and "cherry pick" so that what is left is unsellable and then they offer a service where they haul it all away for $ In the meantime, they continue to sell this stuff at even lower prices and the customer has no idea that this is happening I think they are crooks at the highest level because they take advantage of people and some are elderly who are in a complicated circumstance and need to move or get rid of a houseful of stuff They argue with each other and toss things around and devalue your items They are very discouraging Secretive, and give you no accounting for the checks that they write (In my case, However sometimes they must) They asked me to bring out my best stuff or they wouldn't be able to get good buyers over, so consequently, I sold jewelry and silver at rock bottom prices, which really didn't make a dent in the large downsizing I needed to do I know after my move I could have sold that stuff
