Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I bought the unit at lowes like it is I did not alter anything I told them that and the reason I did not return it with in the 90 day is because they told me I had the wrong supply line so I didn't realize there was a problem with the heater or I would have I just want it fixed

Thank you for your message regarding this complaint. Our company manufactures the heaters referenced in this complaint but does not sell them to the consumer. This heater was purchased at Lowes and the consumer failed to return the unit within the 90 day return period. Despite the fact that we...

did not sell or conduct business with this individual, we still offered to assist him in getting his heater working. We sent him a shipping label  and received the unit at our office for review free of charge. We discovered the heater had been altered from its original design and the gas port had been modified and removed. It is clearly stated that ANY modification of our heater VOIDS the warranty. We request that the consumer and the complaint process follow the chain of sale which does not include our company since the heater was not purchased from us.We will return the heater to the consumer once the shipping charges are paid for.Sincerely,Thermablaster

We have nothing further to add to this complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was told via email on December 23,3017 I had already been added to the wait list from a prior voicemail complaint. I was told on January 6,2018 via Facebook message after hearing no response by email  on a timeline, I had 1 month to wait. They have said for 3 months the part is out of stock and it will soon be sent to me. After waiting weeks I try and get an update and the company goes quiet, I do not believe I will ever get this part from the company.

Thermablaster 2-line response is a big insult over injury. They did not explain as to why there was no call back/response to obtain several clarifications in spite of my many calls and messages.2. No explanation as to why there was no information on the package about the hissing noise. I found it only after the installation. As I stated earlier, we are not able to maintain a conversation when the heater is on.3) Again, Thermablaster had a convenient lapse of memory about lead poisoning - per a pamphlet enclosed with the log warning that this product contains lead (copy enclosed). I refuse to expose my grandchildren to any lead. The gas log is not in use.I just cannot say enough bad things about this company. How can they do business in this fashion in this great county of ours. Please pass my response on to Thermablaster. The public has the right to know about this company.Thank you veiy much for your valuable assistance. Should you any questions, please contact me at your convenience.Truly yours, [redacted]Enclosure: Lead Warning via faxHome Telephone (Primary Contact): [redacted]

I am already on the waiting list.  I've been  on the list for 3 months.  And your phone number and contact person you have given me, never answers the phone or returns my messages.  I will keep declining your response until I actually have that part in my hand!

Thank you for contacting our company. We do not as a stated policy cover any installation costs or warranty any installation of any product. Please contact your installer for a refund.

A replacement part will be sent out as soon as we receive it. Sorry for the delay.

We are more than happy to answer answer any questions or concerns regarding our product. If you call our 800 number and press 0 we will ensure you are directed to someone who will answer your question. The insert inside the product requests that the consumer call us before returning to the store to make sure that the product is installed and being used properly. In this case the product that was purchased from Lowes is missing parts and should be exchanged for a unit that is complete. We give Lowes a credit for any returns and they credit the consumer. This is why in this case the consumer MUST follow the chain of sale and deal directly with whom they purchased the product from.

THERE IS NO LEAD IN OUR PRODUCT. WE HAVE MADE THAT VERY CLEAR. THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA REQUIRES THIS WARNING ON ALL GAS PRODUCTS. NO FURTHER RESPONSE WILL BE GIVEN FROM OUR COMPANY ON THIS MATTER.

A replacement part will be sent out as soon as we receive it. We have you on the parts wait list. This is not something that we have control over at the moment. There is a delay with the supplier.

Mr. [redacted] represents Reecon. This is the best information we have at this time.

As previously stated we do not sell directly to the consumer. The issue with a missing part needs to be addressed with Lowes where they purchased the item. We are not permitted to interfere with Lowes customers. They will gladly replace the item within the 90 day return period.

As I stated earlier, we are not able to maintain a conversation when the heater is on. I did discuss this problem with Low’s that have agreed to help me to install a different gas log. With this kind of behavior, Thermablaster’s days are numbered. I would also like to urge you to review Revdex.com’s rating on this company. Thank you very much for your valuable assistance.
