Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I would have been satisfied had Mr [redacted] sent the required parts to make the repair, plus some additional assorted spacers to adjust the height of the item being printed on that I requested However, he has chosen to imply that I am trying to profit from this deal and has failed to make this right as any legitimate business would do He asked me to use the same box (refer to picture) that the printer was shipped to me in to return the printer to him (from WV to AZ) I feel assured that [redacted] would not accept shipment in a box that was destroyed in the initial shipment The box was very flimsy, and it appeared that a child packaged a printer with value of nearly $to be shipped across the country There were pieces of cardboard and insulation in the box, but the printer was not even secure (totally surrounded) in the box I would be very embarassed if one of my employees would package and ship a valuable piece of equipment as this was packaged I suggested to him that he send a crate to ship the printer back in, but he did not want to do that A piece of equipment like this should be shipped in a hard wooden crate and should be firmly attached to the crate so it will not move Once that is accomplished, it should be fully, totally enclosed in foam to prevent movement If the seller wishes to resolve this by sending the parts as requested, I will accept them If not, then I will proceed to the next step Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I would have been satisfied had Mr. [redacted] sent the required parts to make the repair, plus some additional assorted spacers to adjust the height of the item being printed on that I requested.  However, he has chosen to imply that I am trying to profit from this deal and has failed to make this right as any legitimate business would do.  He asked me to use the same box (refer to picture) that the printer was shipped to me in to return the printer to him (from WV to AZ).  I feel assured that [redacted] would not accept shipment in a box that was destroyed in the initial shipment.  The box was very flimsy, and it appeared that a child packaged a printer with value of nearly $1000 to be shipped across the country.  There were pieces of cardboard and insulation in the box, but the printer was not even secure (totally surrounded) in the box.  I would be very embarassed if one of my employees would package and ship a valuable piece of equipment as this was packaged.

[redacted] received the printer with some cosmetic damage. He was able to begin using the printer immediately despite this damage. I did early on consider sending parts and instructions for him to attempt to make the repairs. When [redacted] later told me he wanted $500.00 in addition to the parts for his...

effort I decided to have the printer returned to me for the repairs. The repairs in my shop would require about 15 minutes to make and insure that they are done correctly. I addition I don't want to give [redacted] any more opportunities to profit from this by putting parts and supplies into his hands, relying on him to effectively make repairs, failing at it, and holding me responsible.
I offered to pay for the shipping both back to me and again to [redacted]. He will have no responsibility for the condition it arrives here nor back to him. [redacted] is entitled to have the printer repaired to new condition but he is not entitled to profit from this. I have made a very fair offer and it is the only one I will make.
Sincerely.
