I'm not clear about what being swamped has to do with the fee and he admittedly stated in his response that he is charging more than his usual fee because he could! The weather conditions, his mileage and the thickness of the ice are not billable items, they are built into his estimate. I am not lying about asking the man that came to do the work about the quote. I agree they came the next day as they said they would, why wouldnt' they if he told me they would? It was a Saturday , no mention was made on the phone that the day of service affected the priceHe believes that 4-men came out to do the work, when in fact men, a woman and a child cameThe child was on the roof!! They were here under an hour to remove the ice and snow from 1/the roof. As for shabby contractors, I believe this case fits the mold. I know of another person that used this contractor and was charged more than was quoted on the phone, so we do not know the price before he gets there. When talking to the man that came to do the work, I was told size of roof, number of people and time spent is what was built into the fee quoted and that the $was about right. $for feet of roof, men and less than an hour of work is taking advantage of people in crisis. I feel the Revdex.com needs to be aware of these circumstances and not allow their name on these type of businesse that practice this way.. I feel the Attorney General needs to be made aware of this situation because I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened and I'm not the only one it's happened to. The fact that he said he's charging more than his fee undermines his credibility
