Thieves Market Antiques Reviews (%countItem)

We hired Thieves Market to complete an estate sale for our 93 year old Mom's home ( 5 bedroom basement home she had lived in for nearly 50 years) with many items including original artwork, furniture, silver items and various kitchen and other items.
We were promised a complete list of sold items which we received 2 months after sale only after numerous calls and emails. We were told they were busy since their lease wasn't renewed and everything needed to be moved from their shop I'm 2 weeks. We were told a check would be sent that day. Check never arrived. Called 2 weeks later and was told it must have gotten lost so another finally sent.
List of sold items was missing many items that were in fact sold. Silver trays and tea sets that were not at house when I was at sale and inquired about to Kristina with no response. They were not on list of items sold ( which only totaled $684 after their 30 %commission). In addition neighbor across street ( I saw in their garage and was told by Kristina) bought 3 living room wing chairs and they were not on the sold items list.

It has been three months since the sale and we have sent more than a dozen emails with no response for the inaccurate sold item list, nor received the list of unsold items at were to be donated and receipt given to my mother.
In email dated over 1 month ago I was told the donated list of items was on a spread sheet done on Kristina's work laptop but has never been sent.
It is very disappointing that the promised things have been ignored. Very unprofessional and would not recommend anyone dealing with this company as they misreported many financial aspects of my moms estate. Extremely sad to have to tell our 93 year old mom that they only collected $684 from her home with no information about where all unsold items were taken.

Thieves Market Antiques and Estate Sales was contracted to run an Estate Sale in my family home. Payment of $1000 was due 10 days after the sale along with the key to our home. We did not receive payment along with the key. Approximately 3 weeks after the sale I contact the owner, Kaplan, and Kristina who handled the sale to request payment because we didn’t receive it. I was told that Kristina was away and would pay in a few days when she returned. She did not. So I called again and was told that she was taking care of her grandmother in another state. So my brother, ***, went into the store and Kristina was there in the store. She gave him a check. We just learned from the bank that the check bounced. So they still have not paid.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this complaint. As mentioned we were given multiple excuses by the business for non-payment and then received a bad check. Only due to the involvement of the Revdex.com, did this get resolved.

Thank you
