On July of I backed a project named Thin Ice Vest, they promese a vest that will reduce the body temperature to induce weight loss and it was promese to be delivered on December I receive the vest a couple of weeks ago and it was really frustrating after that long wait receive a product absolutely different that it's descriptionThe most important differences are:
The vest CAN'T be wear under the clothes, or in bedYou have to wear it alone, without covering it
The vest DOESN'T reduce the body temperature, it simply not work
The core vent AREN'T located in the front, that make impossible to sit o rest when wearing it
There ISN'T ion battery in the vest
The app DOESN'T work as described
And the most important thing, it simply doesn't work, it doesn't cool or burn calories as promisedThis is an absolute scam and I want my money back

I ordered the thin ice vest product from the *** campaign owned by ***.
I received a product that was far from anything advertised in the campaign. With hindsight, the campaign seems obviously like a real-sized *** where dozens of backers have been misled and abused.
Several similar complaints all available in the campaign itself and around the internet.
A refund of the price of the product which is 213 CAD
To Whom it May Concern,
First, to avoid any misconceptions, *** is not a customer of ours but rather a backer who pledged to our crowdfunding campaign via *** to create a technology product. His pledge was used toward the design, manufacturing and production of the Thin Ice Vest along with all of its components and *** was shipped a reward for his pledge on July 19th, 2017. *** reached out to our support staff on March 1st, 2018 requesting a refund because he is dissatisfied with the reward he received. The reward (or "perk") he received was the first manifestation of the technology product whose developmental project he supported. These perks were given as a free "thank you" gift for the donations made by backers of certain donation tiers and their delivery should not be confused as ordered products with promised specs being fulfilled.
Our support staff is happy to assist with all concerns which they relayed to *** in response to his email inquiry. *** did not purchase this item from us but rather donated to the fulfillment of our project. Since all the funds donated from our backers have been used towards this project, refunds are not possible, nor are they required by ***'s terms and conditions in cases like these. We would like to do everything we can to help *** with the reward he received as it is a functioning product and we'd like to help him use it to its highest potential. However, we unfortunately cannot provide any refunds for donations like his as we used these funds according to our project plan and provided rewards to backers like ***. If you require any further information or clarifications, please let us know.

I want a full refund
Mr. donated to a crowdfunding campaign we were running for a technology project. The pledge level he donated at specified he'd receive the technology his and his peer's donations would help to create. Since we were able to complete our project and create a technology similar to what we anticipated with, we shipped Mr. a manifestation of this technology as a free reward (or perk) for backing our project. Although our technology did not end up exactly as anticipated we did not make any claims that the project was guaranteed to result in specific way and were transparent the project was one of creation and not a sales campaign of something existing.
Mr. was not pleased with the functionality of the technology he received or the progress we were able to make on our project with the help of his funding and that of our other backers. After he contacted our support team to express his concern we attempted to troubleshoot his technology for him and remedy the situation. However, given the nature of his complaint it appears Mr. was under the impression he was purchasing an existing technology from our company as opposed to donating to our project to create brand new technology. Since Mr. accepted the terms and conditions of the platform he donated through he would have been made aware that our project (like all crowdfunding projects) do not offer products for sale but rather are designed to fundraise to complete projects.
We are very sorry for Mr. misunderstanding regarding the arrangement he participated in and we hope that he will continue to discuss with our support how to troubleshoot the technology, the delivery of which fulfilled our obligation as the crowdfunding project creator.
