Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
They are lying in their response to my complaint, I was in fact told to use a bathroom that was three miles down the road I have three witnesses who will attest to that statement. I was also told by the same employee that they...

were in the process of figuring out proper compensation for their guests. They also did have my contact information on file, I am a rewards member and they had my email address and cell phone number on file from when I booked the room. I was also never offered a refund I was only offered 10000 points, and I told them that I felt that the points were insufficient.

Review: To whomever concerned:

I placed a Christmas order for friends and family on the [redacted] of December, 2014. GUARANTEED shipping for arrival before Christmas was advertised throughout the website and was emailed to me. On the days before Christmas Eve, I became worried and contacted their Rewards hotspot as I am a rewards member. I made multiple calls and yet was unable to receive any help. On the [redacted] (4 days after Christmas), which you can imagine I was already very upset, the items finally arrived. When I carried the box inside, my heart sank. You could hear broken glass shaking within the box, and I knew that the 4 glasses I ordered were broken, and I would not be able to give any gifts. I opened the packaging and was astounded at how the company packaged the glasses. they literally just place all 4 in a box and put one thin layer of tissue paper in between. I immediately called them, and asked the representative to hold as I checked the other items. There were more problems to my utter disappointment. One bracelet had a very conspicuous slanted engraving problem, and the filigree box that came with it was MISSING THE ENGRAVING PLATE. I looked for it in the packaging, and amiss all the glass tried to see if it fell out. Nope, it wasn't there at all. I could not believe whoever packaged it DID NOT NOTICE. Second, I was missing a bracelet. So not only would I NOT BE ABLE TO GIVE THESE CHRISTMAS GIFTS ON TIME. but I was MISSING A GIFT. I informed the person I was speaking with, about all these problems. They handed me over to their [redacted], and said that they could find NO RECORD of the first bracelet and box I mentioned and therefore could not fix these defects. They said they would immediately take care of the red wine glasses and I would have them by Wednesday. I was told that they would contact me later when she looked into it. This immediately put me on high alert as I had have experience with them never calling me back. Later that night, I indeed received no phone call. So I called them back, and on the 3-4th call, someone picked up and said that the [redacted] I spoked with was busy and to email her with additional information, and that she would call me back later that day. I did as I was instructed. Since offices were closed on New Year and I was celebrating with my family, I decided to wait. I finally made contact with Things Remembered today, got a representative after 5-10 minutes to put me on the phone with the [redacted] I spoke with. After that, the [redacted] said that she had never received my email regarding the order. She said the glasses were done, she would have the bracelet shipped out. Then she dropped the bomb: she said she could do NOTHING as there was no record of the bracelet and box. So I emailed her the screenshot of the charges on my card and she replied saying that the purchase was made in a store and I would need to contact that store. At this point, I am extremely frustrated ant the situation has gotten convoluted. I don't know what store or have record of the number that called me. The bracelet and box was an addition to my original order that was made over the phone when a TR store contacted me of an engraving issue. Its long after Christmas and I still can't deliver my gifts. So I'm sitting here with two defect items, a missing bracelet, customer service with an attitude, horrible packaging in the non-defected gifts, after-Christmas shipping, and wasted time.Desired Settlement: I want some sort of compensation for the horrible packaging, delaying of shipping, broken materials and missing gifts and etc! Perhaps a gift card, shipping compensation fee.

Review: My eleven year old son purchased a heart padlock bracelet for my birthday. It had a magnetic clasp on it. I had the bracelet on my wrist for no more than 50 minutes when if fell off my wrist. I was walking through a park at the time and although I looked for it over an hour, I could not find it. When I called the company, they were very rude and told me they could not be held responsible for a bracelet that fell off my wrist. When I said that the quality of the bracelet was substandard and that is why it fell off, (I do not believe the magnetic clasp could hold the weight of the bracelet.) I was told "That's your problem." I then posted a complaint on their facebook page and received a message to leave my contact information in their private inbox and someone would get back to me. This was a waste of time because no one did get back to me and it appears the company has no intention of rectifying the issue or even apologizing for the experience. The bracelet cost my son $25.00.

Even though I do not have the bracelet. I am sure they are aware of the quality and the likely hood that the clasp would not hold and they should return my son's money out of good faith and good business practices.

Review: On 9 August 2014, my fianc and I purchased two (2) Champagne Flutes for our October wedding at the Things Remembered [redacted] location in [redacted], VA. The flutes were to be engraved with a custom logo. On 13 August, we received an email containing an image of the logo, which did not resemble what we ordered. The email directed us to the store if we had any questions or issues pertaining to the logo. On 16 August, we visited the store and informed them that we were not at all satisfied with the logo. We requested a refund, but were told that the flutes had already been shipped and for us to come back when they had arrived to see what could be done to correct the issue. On 1 September, I visited the store to find out the status of the shipment. An employee retrieved the flutes. I informed him that the logo did not resemble what we had purchased. He looked at it and agreed. I asked what could be done to rectify this and was told that we would have to purchase a set of new flutes. Again, I requested a refund, but was told one could not be given since the flutes had already been engraved. Instead, he ordered two (2) new blank flutes to be shipped to the store where they would be engraved for us on site. He requested I return on Wednesday since the flutes would be in by then. My fianc, instead, visited the store on Saturday, 6 September, to see the blank flutes and complete the engraving. Upon arrival she was informed that they had not arrived yet. On 9 September she was informed that the flutes were on back order and would not be available until after our wedding.Desired Settlement: We cannot afford to place anymore trust in this company in hopes that we will receive what we paid for in time for our wedding. In fact, at this point we want nothing provided by this company at our wedding and want a full refund of our money in the amount of $193.60.

Regards,

Review: I recently returned a bracelet and filigree box that I purchased for 160.99 including personalization and shipping. I only receive 45.48 for my refund. I was told by [redacted] Things Remembered Customer Service You only receive a refund for the product. We do not refund for the personalization and shipping when the customer has issue with the quality of the product. There is nothing in their Return Policy that states that personalization and shipping will not be refunded. Things Remembered is deliberately misleading customers by excluding from their policy that personalization and shipping will not be refunded. Link to the Things Remembered Policy http://www.thingsremembered.com/custserv/custserv.jsp?pageName=SatisfactionGuara... .Desired Settlement: I would like a refund that reflects the current published return policy.

Unhappy with the engraving I called and was told they would send me a return label and a replacement gift that I would receive no later than 12/18 for a Christmas Party at work. Review: eI ordered my mother and mother in laws Christmas gifts in November of 2013. They had a promise arrival date of December 19th. After this day passed and about 7 phone calls I was told a number of things on the week leading up to Christmas day. "It should be there any day" was a common answer. Then a supervisor said if it was not on my doorstep by that night it will be by tomorrow. When I called the following night to say it never arrived I was told that supervisor lied and they had not even received it yet for them to then ship to me. I wanted to cancel but was reassured it would arrive any day so I decided to wait. I called on December 23rd and was told by another supervisor they indeed "Had no clue where my order was". She took my name and cell phone number and said someone in shipping was going to call me that next morning and get my mothers address and they would overnight the necklace to her since she lived a few hours away from me. Again instead of cancelling I agreed to this trusting she would make sure this happened for me. The next day (Christmas Eve) came and went with no phone call. Same with Christmas Day. On December 26th I began trying to reach the customer service line of Things Remembered that morning with only a busy signal each time I called. Around noon a package arrived from Things Remembered. It was 2 chains with a completely blank circle as the charm with a note saying this was a complimentary gift since the Sterling Silver Eternal Family Birthstone Necklaces were out of stock. I called to check my balance on my credit card just to find out they had taken the money for my order that never came. I found this highly suspicious since I had been told the money would not be taken out of my account until my actual order had left their store and being delivered to me. After a few hours I was finally able to talk to someone from Things Remembered and he told me they will not refund my money until I shipped the "complimentary Gift" back to them that they sent me,that I never orderDesired Settlement: For Things Remembered to know I reported them on Revdex.com.

Response:
