Review: I made a reservation for a vehicle by calling Thrify's 1-800 number. Everything was confirmed and I was advised that there will be an authorization hold on my credit card for the rental fee. When I went to the Westfield, NJ location to pick up the vehicle, the representative attempted to charge the rental fee plus an additional $250 security deposit. He did not even mention it before he charged me. He simply told me the total rental fee (which was correct), but then charged the rental fee plus $250. After speaking with Thrifty's customer service, they advised that the security deposit policy is 15% of the rental. This location, however, charges $250 without telling you about it first. I cancelled the reservation, but now, the $250 is still unavailable on my credit card, and the owner of the location verbally told me that even though I came to get the rental, he will be charging me one day's rental fee because I cancelled the reservation.Desired Settlement: Refund the $250 that has been charged to my credit card and make sure that I am not charged one day's rental fee.
