This Efficient House Reviews (30)

This morning I received a phone call from [redacted] from [redacted].  This is the women who Mike stated he would call on March 14th to get our $500.00 rebate.   I confirmed the following with [redacted]:
1) Mike never contacted her as he stated on March 14th. This does not surprise because he has done nothing but make excuses regarding our $500 rebate.
2) [redacted] stated because we were a business the is no rebate program.  The rebate program only applies to residential homes and although we office out of a home we are.  metered as a company.
Now having this information I would like a $977 refund from This Efficient House/Mike. In Mike's March 14th email replay to Revdex.com he spoke of the 30% discount that he gave us for the job and I feel that he should honor that 30% discount by refunding our $977 of rebates that we did not get.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This Efficient House installed a new furnace last fall. We live outside the city limits and installers are not required to submit the same testing data to ensure the furnace is sized correctly. This was the only company to do so. Every other bid eyeballed it. Not only was I comfortable that we had the correctly sized furnace, after a full winter I am confident of the job that was done.

good customer service

I called This Efficient House to insulate my historic home after receiving an audit from the city of Fort Collins. I called the top three companies on the list and received estimates. This Efficient House was not the lowest bid but I felt they were the most honest and knowledgable. I am glad I went with them because everything went smooth and my home is much more comfortable now. I already got my rebate from Xcel and I have called This Efficient House to schedule more work before the summer heat hits.

Crew from This Efficient House are completing second job as I type. Couldn't be more pleased. Arrived on time, did work as promised and utility bills from first job are already lower.

When I requested that This Efficient House give me a bid on improving the energy efficiency of my home, I already had done some of the basics myself. I had added more insullation in the attic over the 2-story part of my split level home, sealed most openings around the house with foam, and had new and tight windows. So I asked each of 3 contractors what additional work would make the most difference. I was impressed at how readily the owner spotted opportunities the others had missed. I did not take the low bid.
The work was to add insullation in a 2' overhang of the 2nd story of my house, blow insulation into the trusses above the single-story part of the house, and foam the rim joists in the crawl space. The job foreman communicated well with me, and I felt the employees were well supervised. The work was done to specifications, I received my rebate at essentially no effort on my part, and I have been pleasantly surprised not only how much less my furnace runs but also that the main room and one bedroom are much more comfortable than before the work was done.

Greetings, First I would like to apologize for the slow response to this customer’s concerns.  They have been very patient and reasonable from beginning to end
We were initially hired to perform a home energy audit and provide estimates for a furnace and...

insulation, both in the crawlspace.  At that time we found water leaking into the crawlspace.  We let the customer know we couldn’t do any work until the leak was fixed.  The customer said they would attempt to find the source of the leak and have it corrected.  We followed up a few times over the next few months but the leak hadn’t been fixed.  In that time, the staff member who performed the energy audit left the company.  Subsequently, I wasn’t able to find the notes or files on the computer because they were mistakenly saved in another customer’s folder on the computer.  I have since tracked down the files and sent them to the customer.   I regret that it took us this long to resolve the issue.
Thank You,
Mike T[redacted], BS, BPI, NATE
President, This Efficient House

We had Mike come out to do an energy audit on our house. He was prompt and very professional. He made recommendation to reduce air leaks and add insulation.

Great organization; easy to deal with and professional.
