I tried to make an appointment with Baker-Elman Plumbing todayMy call was answered by "***"She was impatient and rudeAfter describing the problem with my water heater, [redacted] told me that she would try to arrange that someone would call around this afternoon for a service call, but their availability was not guaranteedAt this point, I was warned that if a plumber did call around, it would cost $per hour, and overtime after 4:30pmGiven that it was already 1:30pm and she could not provide an appointment time (or even a guarantee of an appointment at all), I inquired about scheduling an appointment for a later date - to which I was told that "she would have to check with scheduling" to do that but that I should probably just call a different companyI asked [redacted] to call once she knew whether they could send someone out, but that I was happy to wait or perhaps organize an appointment another dayOn returning my call, [redacted] told me that a Plumber would not be available after all, and again, told me I should probably just call a different companySo I am going to call a company who is more interested in taking my business that Baker-Elman - it doesn't seem like that will be too difficult

I engaged this company about installing a dishwasher I had bought and installing a new pipe connection under my sink On their website nowhere does it say that if the person comes in and says they can't do the work and then leaves I would be liable for payment We also spoke to one of the employees on the phone on the day that the worker was supposed to come in no where was it mentioned that payment would be required if there was no work performed At the time of the appointment the plumber came in said that he cannot do the work and promptly left five minutes later Again at no time did he mention that we would be liable for any payment for this One month later I received a bill for $which I don't believe that I am liable to pay Upon calling the business I was told that I would be taken to court if I did not pay the bill

I engaged the company to address an issue with a shower/tub, where the water would still come out of the shower head even when the water was diverted from the shower head to the tub faucet They sent a plumber to address He said it was the diverter valve He replaced it However, the problem remained They sent a second plumber He then cut part of the diverter valve but the problem remained unresolved They then bill me for the service and when I complained that the problem had not even been fixed, they start threatening me with litigation Finally, the owner or manager comes to the house and identifies the issue as being that the tub spout is not appropriate (in that the opening is too small for all of the water to come out and therefore forcing water out of the shower head) They attempted to put on a new tub spout, but it would not fit with the rest of the fixture

We have lived in cities/towns in the USThis company is by far the most professional plumbing service company we have experiencedThey are honest, transparent, knowledgable, timely and get the job doneThey have an excellent back office team alsoThey listen, ask questions to better understand the problem and give great advice over the phoneThey focus on the customerThe last time we used Baker-Elman was on August 23, They kept us updated on arrival time and got information needed ahead of time to make the process that much more efficientThank you and keep up the good work
