Review: THE TAIL GATE ON MY 2006 AVALANCHE HAS BEEN REPAIRED NO LESS THAN FIVE TIMES BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THE LOCKING MECHANISM HAS BEEN SERVICED TWICE AND REPLACED THREE TIMES. THE TAILGATE WILL STILL NOT REMAIN FUNCTIONAL. I HAVE REPEATEDLY STATED THAT THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE LOCK ITSELF BUT THE ALIGNMENT OF THE TAILGATE ITSELF AND/OR THE BARS THAT RUN THRU THE TAILGATE TO THE PINS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE REAR FENDERS. IN GOOD FAITH I WENT THRU THE CHEVROLET CUSTOMER COMPLAINT SERVICE TO GET THIS RESOLVED. I WAS TOLD TO ALLOW THE DEALERSHIP ONE MORE OPPORTUNITY TO RESOLVE THIS. UNFORTUNATELY, IT IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. I CANNOT GET INTO MY TAILGATE!Desired Settlement: EITHER TAKE THE SKIN OFF THE TAILGATE AND REPAIR/REPLACE THE ENTIRE MECHANISM (LATCH, LOCK AND BARS) OR REPLACE THE TAILGATE. I HAVE PAID ENOUGH MONEY IN REPAIRS AND PARTS TO HAVE REPLACED THIS TAILGATE ALREADY!

Review: I bought a used 2006 jeep wrangler from Thomas Team Honda of Johnstown , Pa. Drove it home no problems .We went on vacation the very next day for 1 week. Wedid not take the jeep. When we returned anad she drove it to work it started to act up .When shifting from 1st to 2nd it shifts very hard . It is an automatic.We immediately called the dealer & he said to bring it up. After the evaluated what the proble was they ordered the part & they would call whe it came in. Johnstown is about an hour drive for us one way. The part came in we drove up .The mechanic looked at the jeep about an hour later comes out and says its the wrong part they need to reorder. We drove back home and waited for them to call. They called we drove up they put the part in we drove home. The very next day its doing the same thing.I called they said they werent a qualified jeep dealer but they would send the jeep to a jeep dealer that they use for jeeep repairs. In the meen time we started making payments on a vehicle that was not in our possesion. The jeep was at the jeep dealer for a week and a half. They said it was not a transmission problem but a computer issue. The computer was upgraded with software and rebooted. Got the jeep back & 2days later its doing the same thing.I called Thomas Team Honda and they said probably needs a whole new computer .I told them this was it if youcant fix I would like my money back plus the 3 monthly payments I made . They sai d they would fix it. This time they drove to me with a loner car and took the jeep back to the jeep dealer . I told them it was the transmission they said it was the computer . Thomas Team Honda supplies a lifetime warranty on transmission & motor for all cars they sell.After 3days Thomas called and said the jeep dealer who is out of Ebensburg ,pa. found a wiring problem at the computer and said tehy repaired it and the vehicle was running great.Got it back ran great for4 days then it started acting up .I called the manager said I wanted my money back. He said NO WAY!Desired Settlement: The down payment back rughly 2500dollars . The 3 payments of 339 dollars each reimbersed & the additional 300 dollars in insurance premium paid for the vehicle .A nd the loan exused.

Review: On Sept 30, 2013 I contacted Thomas Chevrolet about a 2013 Equinox VIN:[redacted]. I found this vehicle on the [redacted] website being advertised FOR SALE with this dealerships address. It was the last 2013 with the color and options that I wanted. I was told it was a demo at a college, and I would have to wait until the 2014 Equinox's came in so they can swap them. I was very interested in this vehicle so I waited. During the waiting period I called twice and emailed them for an update. My husband also stopped to get an update and the salesmen he talked to was very rude to him. On Oct 23, 2013 Thomas called and said they would have the vehicle in Friday Oct 25. When the vehicle came in it was damaged, the guy hit a curb. They asked me if I was still interested in it and after inquiring about the damage I said yes. So after work my husband stopped to see the damage and when it would be done. They would have the damage fixed before I buy it, is what I was told. It went in to be fixed and detailed. We negotiated a price $23,698 with a possible $500 rebate on top. On Oct 30, 2013 I called to see if it would be ready for me to look/buy it sat Nov 2, 2013. It was then they told me that it was sold (out from under me)to the university. Because a bill was sent to them for the damage, they bought it because they would have to pay for the repair so they had first dibbs on it. Then I asked them to find me another 2013 with the same color and options. My husband inquired about a 2014 and the salesman was suppose to get back to me Fri Nov 1 with figures. I'm still waiting!1. why was this listed for sale when it clearly was not, it was in use? that's false advertisement!2. why is it allowed to be sold out from under me? I had interest in buying that vehicle before the university.3. this dealership absolutely has no interest in selling me a vehicle nor do they wish to make this right. very low customer satisfaction. The hassle of trying to buy a vehicle. I only wish it was at another dealer.Desired Settlement: That 2013 Equinox was listed as NEW with 3,000 miles, sunroof, keyless entry, remote start. The outside color was Atlantis Blue Metallic and the interior was Jet Black, Premium cloth.I am looking for an Equinox or Terrain, Atlantis Blue Metallic with Jet Black, Premium cloth with the same features as the 2013 Equinox listed for the same price.

Below is our response to a complaint submitted against Thomas Automotive Family on 11/3/2013. ID #[redacted].

We were in contact with the customer several times before the vehicle was received at our dealership. The 2013 Atlantis Blue Metallic Equinox was on a loaner program with a university. It was explained to the customer that the car was new but had some mileage. The customer was fine with the mileage as long as they received a discounted price. The customer was told we would not have the vehicle until we received a 2014 Equinox from the manufacturer. As soon as we received the 2014 Equinox we traded the university for the 2013 Equinox. The day we received the 2013, the sales consultant was notified both wheels on the passenger side were damaged. This damage was disclosed to the customer and she seemed to be fine as long as we fixed the damage. We began negotiating the sale price of the vehicle and the customer offered $23698.00 with additional $500 off. We were not able to accept the price she offered. The customers husband stopped to see the damaged vehicle. He said they would take it if we fixed it. We were on hold for a short period of time because of the damage settlement with the university. It was mentioned that the university may buy the 2013 Equinox outright because of the damage. A separate customer from the Internet agreed to the advertised price on the internet and bought it from another sales consultant. The original customer was told the vehicle had been sold as we had not reached an agreement on the price. The customer was upset, but we had no buyer's agreement in place, because we could not agree on a final price. The sales consultant called the customer to tell her we could not find another 2013 Atlantis Blue Metallic for the same price as the one we had. We quoted her the price of a 2014 Atlantis Blue Metallic with the exact equipment as the 2013, but it was more money. That was the last time we heard from the customer.
