I had to replace an old crow and I picked this dentist because it was close to my work. I'm a full time student going for my RN and working full time, so I don't have much time to spare. The office looked professional and nice, the only problem was they did not told me up-front how much the procedure was going to cost. My insurance is only 1200 per year and everything extra I have to pay out of pocket. I did asked the lady at the registration how much the crown would be, she bit around the bushes, sayin: "well, I can't give you a figure now, we have to see how much your insurance is going to cover". After the doctor did a root canal on my molar, the lady told me how much it was going to be, and good thing I was sitting down, I almost passed out when she told me the price. At that point I felt trapped, I could not back out: the doctor already did a root canal and I had to get a new crow. She printed out a paper: root canal: $1280 and crown another $1200. Now, next time I went inn I thought I was getting a new crown, and instead the doctor put in a Carbon Post which they charged me another $300. So the Carbon Post was NOT included in the root canal. NOBODY ever told me they were going to do that and the fact that I would have to pay an EXTRA $300 for the Post. At that point I told them not to work on the crown, I will go somewhere else and get it done for half the price. I HAVE NO PROBLEM with dentists charging exhuberant amount of money for their work, the problem is they are not HONEST and they DO NOT DISCLOSE their prices in the beginning, so the custumer can have a choice to either go with their services or go somewhere else where they can afford. I'm working and a full time nursing student and had I known from the beginning how much their services are I would have walked away and go somewere else because I cannot afford their services at this time. Very dissapointed, and I ended up using all of my insurance allowence. Tis is not honest work and I don't reccomend them!
