Thomas Burhorn: Allstate Insurance

I have been a loyal Allstate customer for nearly 16 years and recently upgraded to a "premium" insurance plan. Two months after purchasing a new vehicle I had an accident that required repairs to the front of my truck. Part of the damage affected one headlight and required replacement. Allstate was unable to find the headlight as they are apparently very rare. I instantly assumed both headlights would be replaced to match. I was informed they only "had" to replace the damaged headlight and I was going to be left with mismatched headlights. That is how Allstate will treat you when the rubber hits the road. If you call this agents office to complain you will get told it's not their responsibility to help you (they're only interested in taking your money) and then lecture you if they don't like your tone. 16 years of loyalty discarded over what amounts to two months of premiums for an extra headlight..
