Thomas C. Roberts, Jr., DMD, PC Reviews (1)

Feb 2,2015
To whom it may concern,
I'm writing this letter in response to your inquiry regarding [redacted] complaint. We had the pleasure to have [redacted] at our office as a new patient on 5/21/2014, she stated on that visit that she has complex medical history and has multiple...

missing teeth, interested in replacing teeth with dentures.A treatment plan was presented that explained the rationale, number of appointments and expected outcome. I was very clear from day one with [redacted] that due to significant bone loss that it will be challenging to make the dentures comfortable for her. We tried in accommodating [redacted] requests in making appointments shorter and with the least amount of discomfort and pain for her.
We were able to go through 2 of 5 needed appointments to make [redacted]'s dentures. To my knowledge we have not had an incident where she was upset in the chair, I know that she was not comfortable in a dental chair due to previous bad dental experience, and because of her extensive medical history it's hard for her to be comfortable in the chair for extended period of time.
We received [redacted] complaint via E-mail regarding her last visit, in which she was not happy about comments made chairside. To my knowledge no abusive or condescending comments were made. We strive to make every patient's visit as comfortable and painless as possible. We are very serious about the type of comments we make to patients regardless of their background and their medical history. We responded to [redacted]'s concern via Email and by phone (multiple attempts were made and left her voice message on the last attempt). We apologized for any comments that were misconstrued as offensive to her, we also explained the process of making dentures and that we cannot send a processed denture via mail without attempting to try it in to ensure fit, comfort and function.
[redacted] was adamant that she receives her dentures and was not interested in coming back to the office. It is important that we note that [redacted] paid fully for her treatment and as such it is our obligation to; at least, try to make sure that her dentures are functional. Sadly, all our attempts to convince [redacted] to come back to the office have been futile.
Please feel free to contact our office directly with any questions or concerns regarding this case.
Sincerely,Ahmed A[redacted], DDS
