Thomas Jefferson University Student Loan Offi Reviews (1)

Review: Initially, I made a complaint to the Revdex.com against [redacted] of Upstate New York, about a student loan that was transferred to them from Thomas Jefferson University. To sum up what happened, I set up automatic payments for my student loan when I had to repay it but it did not take in the system, so my student loan ended up being behind a few months. I received a call from [redacted] about these back payments, so I contacted the University and they said it was in [redacted] hands now. So I set up automatic payments with [redacted] to be debited every month, I asked the person on the phone that I spoke with at [redacted] if there were any additional fees involved, and they said no. So, recently I noticed in my very vague statements from [redacted] that my student loan was not going down by the amounts I had been paying. At this point [redacted] began an online option of viewing accounts, so I logged on and saw theses outrages collection fees. So, I called up [redacted] and they told me these fees were to the University for their service, but the University refused to pay them so they fall on me. I made the complaint because these additional "collection costs" were placed on my account by [redacted] because Thomas Jefferson refused to pay those costs. The Revdex.com addressed my complaint with [redacted] and [redacted] stated to the Revdex.com that they were reversing the fees and sending my student loan back to Thomas Jefferson University, along with removing this mark on my credit report. In the days to follow I spoke with a better business representative after contacting the University and then was told the University does not deal with the loans and was being transferred to the company that deals with student loans. This company informed me that the loan was not transferred back to the University but sent to another Collection agency [redacted] & [redacted], a law firm. I have received a letter from [redacted] & [redacted] saying the University is intituting suit against me for default payments and refusal to repay the loan. No where in my Complaint to the Revdex.com against [redacted] did I ever state that I would not repay the loan, nor have I been delinquent or in default of this loan since it was given to Conserve. I never refused to repay the loan, I only asked that the additional "collection costs" that were pushed on me by [redacted] because Thomas Jefferson University refusal to pay them be removed and my account be credited the amount of "collection costs" that were not applied to my principle payment but to recouping these "collection cost fees." The "collection costs" total was greater than the amount indicated on this document, and no credit has been applied to my principle amount of the "collection costs" that were taken out of my $227.27 a month payment. I contacted [redacted] & [redacted]'s law office back in late October early November, after I found out the bill that was sent back to Thomas Jefferson from [redacted] was sent to their office. I left a message with their secretary and did not receive a call back from them until January 11th, 2014 over two months after my call. The reason [redacted] returned my bill to Thomas Jefferson University, was because the University could not provide them documentation of my loan with them or a paper trail at all. I am not refusing to pay my loan amount initially taken out with the University, but I do not feel that it is fair to make me pay these "collection costs" accrued by the University because they sent my loan to a collection agency. I have asked for detailed information/break down pertaining to my bill and no one has been able to give me a break down of all the payments, "total collection costs", interest, etc...Desired Settlement: To have this black mark removed from my credit report, to have a detailed break down of my bill, to have all back "collection costs" that were taken out of my payment making my monthly payment lower debited back to my account i.e. billing adjustment, and having all "collection costs" removed/ not be responsible for them. Also, have no repercussions/ ill will against me from [redacted] & [redacted] or Thomas Jefferson University.
