I contacted [redacted] office to see about obtaining him for a court case I had. I asked the secretary about the consultation fees and other fees that would be charged. The secretary had quoted to me that there were no consultation fees. I made an appointment to come in and speak with him about my case. While I was there he proceeded to talk to us about our case a little to see what was going on. We were there approximately an hour and a half, and while we were there he was very rude to my husband and my 3 year old son and all he did was told his "war stories" and talk to his daughter in between us trying to explain our case. At the end of our session after I paid him, he told me that he was charging me $200 for a consultation fee and $200 for the half hour he talked to us. He was telling us about him and the Judge I was filing my case against were good friends and I felt very uncomfortable. As soon as we left his office within 10 minutes we called and fired him and asked for a refund. He had said he was going to refund the full amount and he was sorry it didn't work out with him. While we were waiting for him to make the refund it was a couple weeks and we still hadn't recieved anything so I called and he said he would have to make payments to me because he had to pay his bills and he didn't have it to give back. He has so far paid $1,600 and owes $400 more dollars. My husband and I have called his office and he threatened to call the cops on us and get us for phone harassment if I called his office one more time because he said he earned that $400. He did nothing on my case he seen nothing to do with my case, he was fired within a few minutes of being hired. He didn't give me a receipt or have me sign no papers or anything when we were in his office and he is refusing to give me my full refund. I have since then found a new attorney and he is holding me up on paying that attorney. All in all he is a very rude person and will take all he can from anybody because he has been screwed over.
