Please see the business response below: [redacted] stated no specific issues in the complaint. I was there the day of the party and talked with his wife and several of the guests who said they had a great time and everything was wonderful. At no point during the party did he ever ask for...

me or my manager to complain about any service issues. The issue here is that [redacted] and his wife were at odds over the number of guest to invite. He didn't want to pay for a large party and his wife wanted to invite a large group. This is nothing more than a scam he is trying to pull. The landlord has video surveillance of the property so I have no issue calling him a scam artist after reviewing the video. Every one of his "complaints" is an outright lie and simply an attempt to extort money from the restaurant. He said so when I called him back after his email. He told me "If I don't get my money back I'll rip you online and cause you problems". If you have a bad experience, you don't extort a company to pay you. My manager and myself also over heard him telling one of the guests "It's ridiculous I have to pay for people I don't like and never see". When I went over every one of his complaints with him, he insisted my manager never tried to contact him or his wife to go over the party details. When I informed him that my manager had told me that he called them multiple times and they never answered or called back and I had the phone logs to prove it, he said "Its easy for your manager to let the phone ring once and then hang up". If that's how my manager deals with people, I would be out of business. That's an insane comment to make and clearly he had an agenda and wasn't going to let facts get in the way. I also have text messages from his wife and my manager describing how the two rooms were to be setup. [redacted] claimed the rooms were not setup the way he wanted because people he didn't want in his room were in there. His issues with his family are not my responsibility. The rooms were setup exactly as per the text. If he wanted people in specific seats, then he should have had assigned seating, which he didn't. Also, his facebook page has a copy of the Yelp review which is basically the same drivel he put here. Not a single one of the people who responded said anything about service issues or things forgotten. Here are the comments to his post: [redacted] The food was good Ant. Sorry to hear about the svc issues and unprof svc from staff.  The day was very nice. A good party for beautiful Molly. [redacted] It was a wonderful day celebration of Miss Molly Harper's baptismal .Love you all [redacted] Sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the service. We still had a Good Time on Miss [redacted] Special Day !!!! [redacted] We thought that the food was good and we had a good time! He brought a cake to the restaurant which he never told us of and then said it was our responsibility to box it up and give it to people as they left. Because we didn't do this he said it was our fault that we forgot. We didn't forget, its not our responsibility to box up food from an external source and give it to people. Had he told us he had a cake, we would have setup a cake table like we have done for other parties. It's ridiculous to show up at a restaurant with food and not ask ahead of time or expect the servers to do work that is not their job.

I am rejecting this response because:The person from the restaurant who responded to this is just outright lying and making up things in their response that never happened or are completely untrue.  I am baffled as to where this is coming from.  My wife and I were never at odds about how many people to invite and even if we were how would he know?  That would be a personal conversation that I would have with her that has nothing to do with him.  Next what does his landlord having video surveillance have anything to do with me being a so-called "scam artist"?  I also never said "If I don't get my money back I'll rip you online and cause you problems" nor did I say "It's ridiculous I have to pay for people I don't like and never see".  That is just a flat-out lie.The rooms were not set up correctly.  Plain and simple.  I never said I needed assigned seating.  I just needed the correct number of chairs in each room.Yes he is correct that my guests responded to my Yelp review saying they had a good time because they were trying to make me feel better for what I experienced but also because they don't see or experience the problems that the planners experience.  Nor were they privy to the very unprofessional conversation I had with the owner after the fact.  The fact that they didn't know I was bringing a cake is a lie as well and I may still have the texts to prove that we had a conversation of when I was dropping it off.  I also never asked them to box it up for me.It's too bad that he feels he needs to stoop to the level of making things up to alleviate himself of any responsibility.
