I received your letter date 6/13/regarding a complaint made to your office on our company I have been looking into the issue and was hoping to get back to you before now My apologies as this is our very busy time of yearMr [redacted] comments to you regarding out services are a bit perplexing to me I believe that he may have misunderstood our pricing We offer several services to our customers that are each priced at $separately We winterized his system on 10/21/which involves blowing the water out of the lines and turning off the system so there will be no freezing over the winter of irrigation lines This service is a $chargeHe paid the invoice on 10/30/for the service In the spring, our company starts up irrigation systems also for a $ On 4/20/I personally started up his system and fixed a broken riser on zone # The customer and I walked through thru the system and found no other issues on that date He was charged $for this service and I did not charge him any extra labor for replacing the riser that the customer provided for zone #(The customer wanted to use his own part to replace the broken riser I cannot warranty the customer provided parts, only the parts that I provide.) The issues that Mr [redacted] found on 5/I would have been happy to address if he had let us know about them But he did not let us know prior to contacting you This also was a full month after we started up his system I have no way of knowing what was done to his yard in the time between the startup and his complaint on the 23rd as there were no signs of leaks at that tie that would have led me to this cracked degree elbow Mr [redacted] is referring to But I would have been willing to fix these issues for him for no additional charge, if he had let us know there were issues on the 23rd as I warranty my work Each service is charged separately and was explained to him in the fall that these were separate charges We have specific wording that we use when this is explained to keep a misunderstanding like this from happening What really perplexes me is that coming from another company last fall, he would have already known these were separate charges as this is the way the industry operates I am already a lot cheaper on my charges than most irrigation companies in the area Most charge $or more for each service where as we are $ I also find it very hard to believe that my office manager would tell him that she could not help him She has been with our company a few short months but I know for sure she would never say to a customer that she couldn’t help them or she would no longer work for us She is not just an employee but a personal friend of mine and my wife and is very professional and extremely customer service oriented We are a small family run company, I have employees, all of which are hard workers and some of which who are family or friends of mine This is not a large corporation, where people don’t care about their jobs Everyone who works for me is invested in this company as if it is their own This is why I find it hard to believe that for just one single customer so many different issues could possibly happen at once Tim N***, President EBS Irrigation IncOffice (219) 956-Mobile [redacted]

I received your letter date 6/13/15 regarding a complaint made to your office on our company.  I have been looking into the issue and was hoping to get back to you before now.  My apologies as this is our very busy time of year. Mr. [redacted] comments to you regarding out services are a bit...

perplexing to me.  I believe that he may have misunderstood our pricing.  We offer several services to our customers that are each priced at $65 separately.   We winterized his system on 10/21/15 which involves blowing the water out of the lines and turning off the system so there will be no freezing over the winter of  irrigation lines.   This service is a $65 charge. He paid the invoice on 10/30/15 for the service.   In the spring, our company starts up irrigation  systems also for a $65.  On 4/20/16 I personally started up his system and fixed a broken riser on zone #1.  The customer and I walked through thru the system and found no other issues on that date.  He was charged $65 for this service and I did not charge him any extra labor for replacing the riser that the customer provided for zone #1. (The customer wanted to use his own part to replace the broken riser.  I cannot warranty the customer provided parts, only the parts that I provide.) The issues that Mr. [redacted] found on 5/23 I would have been happy to address if he had let us know about them.  But he did not let us know prior to contacting you.  This also was a full month after we started up his system.  I have no way of knowing what was done to his yard in the time between the startup and his complaint on the 23rd as there were no signs of leaks at that tie that would have led me to this cracked 90 degree elbow Mr. [redacted] is referring to.   But I would have been willing to fix these issues for him for no additional charge, if he had let us know there were issues on the 23rd  as I warranty my work.   Each service is charged separately and was explained to him in the fall that these were separate charges.  We have specific wording that we use when this is explained to keep a misunderstanding like this from happening.  What really perplexes me is that coming from another company last fall, he would have already known these were separate charges as this is the way the industry operates.  I am already a lot cheaper on my charges than most irrigation companies in the area.  Most charge $75 or more for each service where as we are $65.     I also find it very hard to believe that my office manager would tell him that she could not help him.  She has been with our company a few short months but I know for sure she would never say to a customer that she couldn’t help them or she would no longer work for us.   She is not just an employee but a personal friend of mine and my wife and is very professional and extremely customer service oriented.   We are a small family run company, I have 5 employees, all of which are hard workers and some of which who are family or friends of mine.  This is not a large corporation, where people don’t care about their jobs.  Everyone who works for me is invested in this company as if it is their own.  This is why I find it hard to believe that for just one single customer so many different issues could possibly happen at once.   Tim N[redacted], President EBS Irrigation Inc.
