While unfortunate it may be these kind of things do happen. Although this is a first for me. I was referred by there realtor to do some repairs under a 203k loan modification. After meeting with there realtor (at the location) she made it clear that they only wanted to do the bare minimum of repairs...

necessary to property so it could pass the requirements of there loan. I proposed a bid that outlined the repairs that were needed that were requested by the lender per the pest report. We started repairs to those areas but were never given the opportunity to finish. During the process of construction the client never made himself available to meet to discuss the project, all communication was done through his girlfriend. She was happy with everything we had done to date. Her only complaint was a area on the deck that we did not address which we fixed promptly even though it was not on my bid that was signed by the client. At no point was this project over budget noir did I ask them to perform work that was contracted to me. They picked out a flooring product that was more expensive then we allowed on our bid by $625 but I allowed it anyway since they had installed a new kitchen faucet that I was contracted to do before they had moved in. I find it very interesting that they would even possibly know what my finances are to date on the project. The one thing they do know is how much iv been paid. A 203 loan is paid through the lender by a two party check made payable to the client and myself. The only funds received on this project were $2200. If they were not happy with our work then they would not have singed the check. The contract amount was $ 8258. I don’t know how they can ask for a refund in the contract amount when we were never paid the full amount to begin with or given the opportunity to finish the project. It is unfortunate that the client and I have had our disagreements. But I’m sure will come to a resolution on the matter. We are also working with the cslb to resolve all issues. I would try to contact him personally but I was asked to never contact him again in a vulgar manner. I find that odd considering iv never met him in person nor have had a crossed word prior to that. I can provide documents, messages, or anything else needed that may be necessary to resolve this. Thank you Thomas Smith

I am rejecting this response because:First off it's not the Realtors job to tell you what needs to be done properly as far as construction repairs go you're the licensed contractor. No hangers we're used in the deck repair, toe nailed nails we're in it's place to hold up structural post, part of my deck is still being held up by bricks that have been there before you even started the work, regular untreated wood are my replacement planks, the hole you filled in the side of the house has nothing holding the seams together so water is going between it and I can touch insulation, the hanger ends that got cut off weren't treated and on top of all of that the contractor either lied or doesn't know the rules in Nevada county and told me a door on the outside hot water heater  electric was illegal due to the fact he didn't want to make another door.  You didn't get to finish the work because of those reasons not only the poor quality of work but also not one time was there a I'm sorry or let me go look it was vague threats (I have text too) and once again it's your job to tell the realtor and your customer what needs to be done properly and code wise not the other way around.
