Thomas Turfgrass Reviews (6)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

Re hashing the same story over and over again helps nothing. He said, she said, back and forth - we are getting no where in resolving this problem.
From what *** has told me the entire lawn can be salvaged but it will take some time and Ms*** must cease with the attitude that she knows everything and she must be willing to closely follow our instructions.
The bottom line is Discovery Bermuda is like other Bermuda grasses - if it is watered in a timely and frequent
manner after installation there is no way to kill this type of grass. The problem is very simple and it is that Ms*** did not water properly.
The accusation against our crew further supports the problem of lunacy in this whole saga. Rojelio Laredo the crew leader, has worked with our company for more than years and has always performed well above expectations. We have had many compliments on his performance of work and overall finished product. The crew members have been with us
A minimum of years and an average of years. I would put that crew up against any crew
In Texas, USA, or even the world in the categories of professionalism, effort to get the job done promptly and correctly, respect for property, and cleanliness of equipment, and maintenance of equipment..
Sincerely,
*** ***

I am rejecting this response because: The problem with the response is none of what is stated is true or what actually happenedI never rejected a site visit nor was one even offered when I first called and spoke with *** which I thought was odd, but
I did give him the dimensions of the property and he told me how much sod would be neededI did not tell himThe day of the install I never told anyone where to put the topsoil or that 90% was supposed to go to the backThe delivery truck simply dumped it at the end of my driveway which was fineThe crew put it all in the backAll I told them was to please leave a strip off the sides as a fence was going to be installed, they left about feet off the sideshose was out as it was needed by the crew that cleared the lot days earlier to keep the brush fire in checkI have separate hoses, hose bibs on the house, and multiple sprinklers that were used daily to water I used so much water that it even effected the water pressure of my neighbor next door and I'm sure they would tell anyone that asked that the sod was watered every dayI also have a septic system with sprinkler heads that go off every night in addition to the watering that was done with sprinklers and hand watering to cover missed cornerspeople made visits to my house and even *** said it looked like bad sod as some squares were filled with crab grass and other areas had nearly noneIt is not consistent in any way and he noted this himselfNo one offered to do anything accept tell me we'll get back to youAfter about weeks of this run around and not calling me back is when I said I just want a refund as it was clear they were not going to do anything
Also I never even received an invoice from these folksThey are not correct in that I didn't tell them there was a problemI called *** times the day of the install because of problems with the delivery (topsoil was not delivered) and the unprofessionalism of the team

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Again, and what I have been saying all along is no one has done anything. I have done all that they have asked me to do with regard to watering, fertilizing, herbicides to kill the crabgrass, and hand weeding. There is no acknowledgment what so ever that they have any fault in the matter or that they may have used sod that had a high level of crabgrass present. How else is it in some squares and not others in the same area?
I had numerous issues with the install team early on because they did not do what was requested right up front and they did throw perfectly good sod in the woods, they did leave their trash in the woods, did not initially leave a strip off the property line for the fence later on, then they took 4 ft off and threw it in the woods and I spoke to [redacted] about these things the same day. Btw way I noticed the team leader said I asked that top soil be dumped in the front yard. This never happened, why would I want a truck the size of a tractor trailer run over my driveway. That would make no sense at all. There is not even acknowledgement that anyone associated with them even made one mistake. [redacted] also told me he was new in his job, did you even consider that he was still learning your process? Everyone makes mistakes when they are new to their role. [redacted] also told me he was new to the company. You sir have not even met me and you're making accusations about me. I didn't start to push on this whole thing till I continued to be told we'll get back with you and then no one did till I called yet again. I was polite at first, but that was getting nowhere.
It was said I may not have watered properly since I only had one hose out. My car was not in my driveway either, but that doesn't mean I don't own one. It is also in your employees best interest to say what their employer wants as well since they count on you for their employment. I will say when I met both [redacted] and [redacted] they were very pleasant people and I had no issue with them at all, but things are being twisted around a lot. He said she said, well that doesn't make me any more wrong than you are right. Please consider my compromise and we can be done with each other. Listed here again.
I have spent the last few weeks using herbicides, weeding, fertilizing and though the front yard is not good,  I have hope it may eventually come around as I have the crabgrass under control so the Bermuda can fill in over time. The back yard I do not have hope for and it's a mess. So my compromise is I will pay for the front yard part, but want refunded for the back which was 18 pallets as I added to the order a few days before the install to cover the front ([redacted] knows this as I talked to him). The total order was for 31 pallets (I did count them when the delivery came in) so $9,645 (total amount paid) divided by 31 is $311.13 per pallet x the 18 pallets, that's a rounded off refund of $5,600. I will pay the remaining $4,045. This is acceptable to me and I will not ask anything further from [redacted] Turfgrass and I will consider the whole issue closed if they refund me the $5,600.
Regards,
[redacted]
