Review: On January 3rd 2014, we gave a sub contractor a down payment for materials to fix our roof. At the time that we turned over the deposit, we were told that if we had him apply a rubber roof it would fix the leak. According to the estimate he presented to us, he also said he would warranty it himself for 2 years .He also stated that this rubber roofing would last us 30 years .We believed him! We agreed to have him install this so called rubber roofing on our upper and lower roof .It was a very short period of time, maybe 2 months, when we noticed leaking again on the back part of the house.Both myself and my husband tried numerous times via phone and text to contact him but there was no response.Finally by means of Facebook we were able to get a response.At this time we were told "I don't have the money to pay my rent, let alone fix your roof". Here it is almost a year and a half and the problem has gotten considerably worse .The brand new insulation,the drop ceiling,the newly installed drywall along with our Oak kitchen table is ruined.Desired Settlement: We have contacted several other roofing contractors.We are now aware of how much it's going to cost to repair the previous job.The estimates we have received are anywhere from 4-7 thousand dollars .I think Mr. W[redacted] should be held accountable for his actions.Some type of financial reimbursements should be deemed necessary for both the interior and exterior damages.
