Review: I am writing your agency to inform you about my dissatisfaction with Thomasville of Manchester. Located at [redacted] B [redacted] Manchester, CT XXXXX. On May 5, 2013, I made a transaction with their representative Don Bascom to purchase a king size Deschanel Sleigh bed, King mattress L/P foundation totaling(with 20% discount)$4,720.24 For which I paid $1,573.41 as deposit and financed $3,146.83. As of July 30, 2013, I have paid a total of $2,220.03. At the time of the purchase, I was informed that the delivery date was in 6 weeks. This was on July 2, 2013. Their delivery department left me a voicemail on July 6, 2013 and stated that "your order was wrongfully delivered to our New Jersey store, we are sorry, and your order will be delivered on July 27, 2013." They also stated that I would expect a call on July 26, 2013. On July 26, 2013 another message was left on my voicemail stating "they did not have the right size mattress". I immediately called the store manager of Thomasville of Manchester. The manager stated "Im sorry I was not able to call you earlier, but it's even better you called." That statement upset me so much as they charged more than the average furniture store in the area. I would have expected better service from them. He further states "We dont have the right size mattress/bunk." He then tried to sell me another product other than what Ive already ordered and made two payments for ($2,220.03), even before I received the product. I took two days off of work July 2, 2013 & July 27, 2013. These are the dates I was expecting to get the delivery. I am extremely upset and disappointed. Ive been taken advantage of. I find it hard to believe that in this day and age of logistics and technology that they were unable to check for the correct size and availability within the tri-state area. They should have know this information at time if purchase. To this day August 1, 2013 I have not received my product

On July 26, 2013, it was discovered only 1 low-profile boxspring was shipped to complete the customer's entire order, which required two. Our warehouse was able to locate 2 regular sized boxspring's which were offered to the customer by the store manager as loaners until her missing low-profile boxspring arrived. We did not want to have to cancel the delivery on July 27 and disappoint the customer. The customer declined the use of the loaners and delivery was cancelled. Her missing low profile boxspring arrived on 8/6/13 and a message was left for the customer to arrange delivery. A second call was made on 8/8 and the customer told the delivery company to call back on 8/12. On 8/12 the store manager met with the customer's son and the customer. The customer's son agreed to accept delivery after the situation was completely relayed to him. An additional discount was offered for the delay and the customer accepted the goods. Delivery was completed. The issue has been resolved.
