Good morning, we are aware of this concern with Mr***Mr [redacted] contacted [redacted] last month which is the sales manager that sold him this carMr [redacted] shared his concern with us and we agree that due to car fax had a delay in reporting the accident we both had no idea that this accident was apparentHowever based on the circumstance we always do our very best in helping our customers in doing whatever is fair for both sides, in this instance we told Mr [redacted] based on his concern we would be more than happy to purchase his car for considerably more than he was offered for the other dealerships that attempted to just sell the car toBut it needs to be know that when you are asking a dealer to just buy a car outright that most all dealerships only give avgwholesale value, we certainly want to help the customer which is why we offered him more than all the other dealerships, but the problem to some degree is that he is many states away and logistics prevents us from helping the most we can due to his time frame and locationAgain, we are very fair and consider Mr [redacted] and all customers to be the most important part of our business, and we are willing to help , but we will need some assistance from him as well with logistics Thank you [redacted] Sales Manager

I completely understand where you would feel that you would want payoff, however , when dealerships are offering to purchase vars from consumers , they purchase these at wholesale prices as we are a retail facility and when we sell cars to consumers that will be at a higher price than the number offered from any store making a offer to purchasewe are willing to continue to keep our offer on the table , but again we are states away, and all cars have depreciation as time goes on and miles go up

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10752324, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below And this is why we have an issueThis vehicle was sold as an accident, issue free "certified" ToyotaHow can it be these things when it has structural damage that was present at the time is saleThat is where you are missing the mark If a vehicle has structural damage it can not be a certified used ToyotaYou sold me a a car with structural damage as a certified used Toyota which tells me that your inspection process was either rushed just to make a sale or completly non-existentAs stated in my original compliant, it took another Toyota dealership minutes to recognize the repair work under the vehicle, how did your "certifying inspectors" miss this? The correct answer is what ever it takes to get a sale and tack on more cost to this customers billThan to add insult you offer me $12,for a vehicle I paid $20,for less than months earlier under pretenses than act as though your doing me a favorI refuse to pay for your companies lack of good buisnes practices Regards, [redacted]

Good Morning, Thank you for giving Thomasville Toyota the chance to look into this matter for this customer. We take customer service very serious here, and love to know what we can do to always improve our policies and operations. I have looked into this concern that the... customer has. it appears that this customer had bought this car from Thomasville Toyota as a pre-owned used car, and this was done a little over 3 years ago. It is with heavy heart to say that we will decline to assist in this matter due to a few things. We have nothing noted that this was brought up in the past 3 years in which the customer has owned this car, we have no service records where the customer has ever been back to this facility to independently inspect this car over the years in which this would have been noted and may have could have been addressed before this 3 year period. If you have any further questions for us we will be glad to help answer any of those that might come up. Thank you for the platform in which gives all consumers a voice to express concerns to help companies like this one. Lee Graham

We have contacted consumer and we have vehicle towed in to have repairs done at no cost to consumerI also spoke with her about trading in vehicle but decided after our conversation to get vehicle repaired because of cash down option that was needed

I am the General Manager, in regards to this concern by Mr*** , I have not spoken to him about this issue , then or nowAs to the point of the rumor regarding Vin#, the price of any vehicle has nothing to do with Vin#s, we are in business to sell cars and service themThe only time that we
would take a car back is when the sold unit can not be paid for, whether it be by a financial bank or customerI would assume that the reason that the PNC bank had no record of car being picked up is due to the bank not funding the deal for customer, there may have been many reasons for this, so therefore without them having interest in this loan they would not have knowledge to any of the informationIf this was so concerning to the customer then I would have been involved I would think , since I have not been made aware of this concern by customer until now? Again, part of our business is selling cars, and in that respect we would love to sell every car , regardless of Vin#s , but there has to be some reason why the bank would not finance the car for this customer, and why now are we just hearing about this almost a year and a half later? I would be more than happy to look further into this matter if the customer can provide more information so I can call the said PNC bank and see if they have notes on why they denied the loan

Salesman lied multiple times to try to keep us from working with other dealerships and ran my credit 10 times making it harder to get financing from somewhere else. This was done after I asked for my credit not to be run multiple times.

I started having problems with Thomasville Toyota when I purchased my vehicle back in feb 2014, I felt as if I were misled in buying that car. Multiple times have I went there all with the same negative experiences. Several times I have made appointments for service and still had to wait hours on end. But my experience today really took the cake, I recently purchased a new car from a different dealership and the staff there told me I would be refunded my warranty but I had to get it from Thomasville Toyota. So I went and spoke with a man named [redacted], he told me that he doesn't normally do this but he would today (he was the one that I was sent to) so he started the process then told me a total - $50 which was fine. But when I asked him to show me where it states that I have to pay that he became even more annoyed that he already was, took my contract and snatched it open and pointed it out to me, all the time saying that I didn't need to give him a hard time and that this wasn't his job. The thing is I can guarantee that if I had been male or my husband would have been there I would never been treated this way. I was in no way rude to this man, just asked him to help me, as a consumer I have the right to know how my money is being used and what it is going for. This man is sexist as well as the entire dealership. Do not buy from this place.

I have spoken to the Sales Manger, [redacted]. He has advised me that we did sell this van to Mr. [redacted], and Mr. [redacted] did in fact call the next day and have a concern with the operation of the vehicle. Thomasville Toyota was proactive in assisting this customer as we do with all customers....

We did have our service department inspect again the operation and Thomasville Toyota could not duplicate the concern , advised customer of this . The customer advised that the concern did not always happen while driving. we provided (at no cost) a Rental car for the customer and wanted the Dodge dealership here in town to also check this vehicle in hopes that maybe they would have more insight to what may be going on with this model, or was this a concern that they have encountered before. The Dodge store here was very slow in helping with the diagnosis of the van. Thomasville Toyota then picked up customers vehicle and delivered to another dealership over 20 miles away, where this dealership could not get the van as to have any issue outside of normal operation. Thomasville Toyota has spent several hundred dollars in inspection fees and manpower to assist this customer. We offered to purchase the van back from customer, we have offered to trade customer out of van, all of which the customer refused to do. Finally after several days of the Dodge store driving the vehicle they finally duplicated the concern that the customer was referring to. At this time , Thomasville Toyota has used all reasonable means to help and resolve this for the customer, at Thomasville Toyota expense. I would like to note that when this vehicle was sold , the customer was offered a protection service contract on this van and declined to purchase. We will help with the repairs to assist this customer with this concern to get resolved. Moving forward I think it would be unreasonable for the customer to expect the dealership to participate in any more assistance as it pertains to the repairs or upkeep to this customers vehicle. I would like the record to reflect the assistance that we have given with repairs , manpower, rental cars, and the offers of repurchase and trade. Thomasville Toyota has in many ways went above and beyond to assist this customer.[redacted]General Manager

I have spoken to the Management team at Cars R US , the customer did authorize to have credit pulled, in fact gave the sales member the fathers social. But in efforts to stand behind the mission statement of this company for ALL customers to "Drive Home Happy" we will produce a letter to the...

Credit Bureau to see if they can remove this for the customer. This is 100% up the the credit bureau and not Cars R US.

At the time of final paperwork on this deal there was no mention of a payoff on the traded that was to be traded to Thomasville Toyota, several days after the docs were signed with a trade but zero payoff, we called the customer asking to send title, at that point we were told that there was a...

payoff on the trade and that we would now need to try to figure out how to get title. We tried to get the bank to finance the loan with the additional payoff , which raised the total transaction price, and the bank would not finance that much on this deal without sums of money down, which the customer did not want to do, so at this point we did not have a cashable contract and or a title to the trade . in either case we would need both of these, meaning we would need a cashable contract and title to any trade that we buy, so that the vehicle can be resold.
I can assure you that Thomasville Toyota opens the doors everyday to sale and service all customers . That is what keeps us in business, with that said we have no reason to sale a car or truck, just to have the customer return it. Also unless customers are paying cash , we are not the final decision makers when it comers to securing financing , we are always happy to assist in this area but the final decision is up to the bank in which will be handling the financing , it was their decision at that time not to approve the amount required with the payoff being used at the end that raised the bottom line, or total transaction price.
All of this was explained to the customer at time.

This vehicle was sold as an accident, issue free "certified" Toyota. How can it be these things when it has structural damage that was present at the time is sale. That is where you are missing the mark.  If a vehicle has structural damage it can not be a certified used Toyota. You sold me a a car with structural damage as a certified used Toyota which tells me that your inspection process was either rushed just to make a sale or completly non-existent. As stated in my original compliant, it took another Toyota dealership minutes to recognize the repair work under the vehicle, how did your "certifying inspectors" miss this? The correct answer is what ever it takes to get a sale and tack on more cost to this customers bill. I refuse to pay for your companies lack of good buisnes practices.
