Response:
We did replace the motor in the furnace for Mr. [redacted]. When we went back out for the vibration after we had replaced the motor we found that the blower wheel was out of balance. We left the unit running and ordered a wheel. The wheel was then replaced. The out of balance wheel that we left in place and running so the customer had comfort caused the bearings in the new blower motor that was installed to fail after we had replaced the blower wheel. Mr. [redacted] had a service call scheduled but cancelled and called someone else two weeks later to look at the unit. Had we run the call he cancelled we would have found the blower motor had failed and replaced it under our standard parts warranty that we offer on all new parts we install. Due to the fact that Mr. [redacted] called someone else we were unable to replace the bad motor ourselves. We do not install "used" parts and the motor that was installed was a new part. Unfortunately all parts are made by humans and will sometimes fail, that is why we cover the parts we install under warranty after we install them. We only cover the parts and labor on our work and do not pay for another company to perform our warranty work.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond here ONLY]I do not have a use for a new motor except to see how a new motor looks compared to a used motor. The motor installed by Thompson appears as used when seen 10 feet away. An up close check of the used motor shows a rusty shaft with numerous marks on the shaft where it was locked in place when installed in the previous furnace. In addition Thompson's on service person said the sound our furnace was making indicated the shaft was bent on the motor they installed. All of this for a motor installed in our furnace for two months. I have this used motor and will only give it up when we are satisfied by Thompson. I intend to use other media bringing this misuse of the public's trust to the attention of the public. Regards,[redacted]
