Upon looking into this charge further it was discovered it was for the flowers your husband had arranged for your birthday. This was a separate charge arranged prior to your arrival and therefore the charges were not displayed on your folio. The credit card to be charged was the same as the one used to check in. Review: I booked two rooms (for one night) that were suppose to be ocean front. I did think about extending but I was not happy with this hotel.

Be that as it may, I even rang and spoke to a lady, a few days prior to arrival and advised her that the balcony was not as important as the view. When we checked into the rooms, they were BOTH partial view (to see the ocean, you would have to look right, straight on was other buildings). I attempted to bring this issue to the staff and found them to be quite rude. I did speak to a manager and she informed me that they considered this a ocean view and indeed there were was no other rooms available via [redacted]. I rang [redacted] and they contacted the hotel after checkout on July [redacted]. I was away for a few day, but I note no one from the hotel mailed me or left me a voice mail.

Also, the bathroom was dirty, and did raise this issue with the management.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive an apology and a refund/billing adjustment

Review: It all started when we came back to our room after celebrating New Years in downtown Chicago. Our floor and room reeked of marijuana. I called and asked to see if I can get a different room. They said it was not possible due to everything being booked. Understandable, we had to deal with it. They sent housekeeping up and they sprayed to try and remove the smell. It didn't help. We woke up early with the worst headaches from the smell and checked out. I did not complain and did not plan on it. We go grocery shopping and my card has been deactivated because of a fraud alert. Nice way to find out at a check out line with everyone looking. There were two charges from the Thompson Hotel. I called immediately to find out what they were. The first charge of $420.59 was explained and I understood. No problem there. Second charge of $55.95 they could not explain or know where it came from. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one was not available. This is not acceptable. How can they charge me for a service I never received and not refund me for that charge. They made a bad experience into even a worst one. This is not how I wanted to start the new yearDesired Settlement: I want my money back and an apology for the worst experience I've had with a business.
