Thompson Investments and Tax Services

Review: I utilized Thompson Investment Tax services as a paid preparer for my 2012 [redacted] income taxes. I was recently audited and subsequently have been informed that I owe additional fines, fees and taxes to the[redacted]. I have tried to contact the tax preparers office with no success. The tax office made a mistake on my income tax submission, but I am unable to contact anyone to get assistance or amendments filed with the[redacted]. I am being penalized due to no fault of my own. Please help.

ThanksDesired Settlement: I would like for the tax office to submit an amendment to the [redacted] being that this was their mistake. I would like a refund of the fee that I paid to have the taxes prepared by this office. The amount I paid was $300.00.

Review: 2013 taxes were prepared & were not done satisfactorily. I believe gross errors were made in the pocess that resulted in excessive debt & fines due to the preparation. I have made numerous calls & left numerous messages voicing my concern with this issue. The preparer has yet to return my calls. All I ask is a review of my returns, an explanation of the figures, & taxes redone to correct the mistakes.Desired Settlement: Taxes review & redone correctly ASAP without additional charges.

[redacted] called our office to discuss this complaint. He states that she was upset she had to pay back 8,000. he said that is because she did take out enough taxes through the year. When someone makes 80,000 to 100,000 they will have to pay more back at the end of the year when taxes are filed. He has spoken to the customer and has gone back over the information and he cannot find where he made a mistake and does not feel that a mistake was made.
