I was told by Thompson that they would work with the sale rep from the company to work the warranty out for mewhen the sales rep did not call Thompson I contacted the company, *** worked with Dey to make the warranty process easy for Thompson but they have refused to work with *** does not require that a dealer of theirs do the work only that they be a licensed contractor as Thompson isI have asked that Thompson work with *** to assist in the warranty process yet they refuseI believe that Thompson took advantage of the situation due to the cold weather and had no plans in assisting in covering the part under a warranty*** Thompson even told me that I would be the first person he would call once the sales representative called him and he would assist me at that timeThis has now changed. Thompson Sheet Metal is a company that is putting the profit of selling the furnace motor at retail over working with the customer and covering a part that is under a warrantyVery poor customer serviceI want this settled through a refund of my bill for the motor once the warranty process is complete and Thompson receives their reimbursement from Dey through ***

I am responding the last time to this complaint, as I said before I do not sell this furnaceI do not have and have not been sent any paperwork to fill out for a warrantyI told the customer this at the time of repair and they agreed to thatI do not feel there is anything else I can doWhen and if Dey Appliance credits my account, I will send the customer a refund for the motor in questionI do not understand why the Revdex.com is involved on a complaint that the customer agreed to have and is not disputing repaired without warranty they are disputing a warranty I told them I cannot do

We did a visual inspection and a carbon monoxide test on the exhaust of the furnace and found no crack in the heat exchanger and the furnace was producing no carbon monoxideTherefore we determined
the furnace to be in good working conditionThe home owner decided after buying the house to replace the furnace because it was an old unit at their cost and had a heating contractor put a new one in.

to complaint #***, I explained to the customer before doing the work that we could not warranty the part for his furnace because we do not sell that brand of furnaceHe then told me he did not want the company that put the furnace in working on it this timeI called the distributor Dey Appliance, where I bought the part from, and they informed me they cannot warranty the partI told this to the customer, but because it was cold and he needed the furnace repaired, he gave me the ok to repair itThe customer then went to the contractor who originally installed the unit to get warranty on it, and was put in touch with Dey Appliance, the distributor, and eventually ***, the manufacturerAs you can see from the two emails I’ve attached, I did inform him I could not warranty the part because of what I was told earlier from my distributer I did not buy the motor from *** or a distributor from another state, it was purchased from a local distributer, Dey Appliance, so the warranty would need to be processed through themNormally, once they receive the part, verify that the part is in fact a coverage instance, and process the warranty, they should issue a credit to my account and I’d be able to issue the customer a refund checkThis is how the warranty process worksAnd when I was told by Dey appliance they could not warranty the part, I told the customer that I could not warranty itIf he continues to pursue a warranty from someplace other than where we have a working business relationship, they will likely supply him with a replacement part and not a refundI certainly do not need to stock a replacement part for a furnace I do not sell
I apologize that the customer is not satisfied with the situation, but I’ve done all I can at this pointFeel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns
