The solar panels that were installed are not working properly and I have been trying to contact this company for about 2 months.
This company installed my solar panels a year ago. For about the last 7 months they have not been working properly. Around February I contacted the company and they sent someone out to see what the problem was. I followed up with the company after the that and they said someone would be calling me back about the problem. I've been trying to contact the company now for about 2 maybe 3 months. I've left voice messages, text messages and emails and still no one has contacted me nor will they answer the phone anymore. Not only does my solar panels not work correctly I also believed they are not installed correctly as my A/C can not run while the solar panels are on. I pay a lot of money for these panels. Over 10,000! The least someone can do is get everything to work properly! People have been telling me to contact an attorney but I really don't want to have to deal with all the legal stuff. I just want the panels to work or to be removed from my home and my money back and roof repaired if they aren't going to fix them! This is a headache!
I would like someone to repair my panels so they work properly
We are a sub-contractor in this business transaction. The company that sold the customer this job is ECS "Energy Conservation Solutions" out of Mooresville, NC. I have contacted this customer and we will try to help them as much as we can but once again we are not on the contract the customer signed and we have no idea how much they paid for the solar system we installed. The system is performing up to specifications per the design provided by ECS. I have emailed the customer and started communication to assist as much as possible but we did not sell this job.
We were looking to put solar panels on our house. We decided to work with Thompson and Son Energy. We were very up front about our HOA and needing permission to put the panels up. In addition, we were following a law to allow solar panels that hasn't gone through. We had a partial approval from the Architectural Committee, but not HOA. We agreed on the job, based on the full knowledge that we could not proceed without full compliance of HOA approval. We put down a downpayment of half the job, $38, 5000 in order to try and get a discount from Duke Energy. Thompson and Son agreed that they would fully reimburse us if the HOA did not grant approval. The HOA has bylaws that were sent to us that stated there were no solar panels allowed. I contacted my contact Jake, and explained that the project could not go through. He did not respond for over two weeks, despite my emailing him. I contacted his superior Tony, as did my wife. He kept hedging saying they "might"have ordered materials and "might" have to draw up invoices for work already done. No work had been done to our house besides the submissions to the HOA based on Thompson and Son trying to get us to choose them for the job. It has been a month and we can not get them to return calls or return our money. No work has been done. We have had Tony return one call so far. They refuse to outline any invoices for any work and have just kept our money. We would appreciate your help, if possible. Additionally, the address at the Concord, NC. location for this business has all of a sudden been marked as permanently closed, and only has the Texas office listed.
Refund We would like a full refund for a job not done.

customer had until 11/2/2019 to send us a written notice of intent to cancel the agreement. To this day we have not received a written notice. Well after the deadline to cancel the customer contacted us indicating they needed to spend the money on something else, they never mentioned anything about the HOA. If they had we could have helped them because in the state of North Carolina an HOA cannot prevent a homeowner from installing solar panels. Here is a link to an article regarding that and the NC Statute. I have attached the contract page showing the right to recind dates as well as the "partial completion" information that applies in this case. I have also attached the contract signature page. We are in the process of refunding this customer the down payment minus the cost of pre-construction activities as outlined in the "partial completion" section of the agreement. As the company owner I have personally left a voice message with the customer with no response. Thank you!

owner today to tell him that the money that we were told would be refunded has not been refunded yet.
We would still like to pursue this case fully. Thank you very much.
I have discussed this dispute with the customer and we have come to an agreement on the refund amount. That document was emailed to the customer, it needs to be signed and returned. That is the next step, awaiting the return of the signed document.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We have been promised reimbursement for weeks, but have yet to be paid. If the company flies through next week and reimburses us, we would be satisfied. However, we are not satisfied until this actually happens, since this has gone on for over three months.
