I have spoke with Mr *** on several occasions, Each time he had a concern with his Garage we came out and addressed the problem,
The last time we spoke to him was approximately months ago when he told us he was having siding Issues, At that point we issued the service to are service man, I know he told me that he was in the area doing another job when he decided to go to Mr ***'s home to fix the sidingHe did tell me after the service that no one was home at the time he did climb the fence, After he told me that I told him that is not a good idea that he should have waited and came back another timeI do apologize for that, If there was any damage to the fence we will be more than happy to take care of that, As far as Mr *** Trying to contact me several times over the last month or two, I'm am always in my office or Mr Wife *** ( Who Mr *** has spoken to several times) is in Here M-F 8:to , Neither one of us received a call from Mr ***,
We will be more than Happy to fix any Issues Me *** has with his Garage siding and if there is Damage to the fence will we will be more than happy to look at it and see what needs to be done

This is my response to Mr*** ***'s email reply to the issues we have been having with his company Steele and LoeberThank you in advance
With regards to each concern with my garage being addressed, I had to follow up every time with Steele and Loeber because of their poor customer serviceThis was very frustrating and I should not have had to call repeatedly to see when their garage crew was going to arriveWhile it is true that each problem was addressed, since items are still an issue (i.elike the garage siding continuing to fall), they needed to be re-addressed multiple times and were technically not fixedMr*** had to come out and personally check the structure of the roof build and had his "carpenter" redo itWhen their technician originally came out to assess the repair he asked me and I quote "did a Hispanic gentleman come out and do this job??" I stated yes and he replied that Steele and Loeber was supposed to have someone supervising him because of his sub-par work on previous jobsAs for the service man, I don't understand why he would just come by, even if he is in the area, when I had scheduled an appointment for that coming Saturday, March 21stHe called and did NOT LEAVE A VOICE MAIL OR GET APPROVAL to do workThe line of poor professional practice and judgment was crossed when both service men chose to illegally trespass onto my property, throwing all of their equipment over a 6-foot fence and jumping overThis is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional!
One concern I have with Steele and Loeber is that they did not call my wife or me to apologize for their builders' behavior, regardless if I ever placed a callHowever, I did leave a voice mail that same day around 5:pm stating the circumstances that occurredFor Mr*** to state that he does apologize means very little since this is the first time I am receiving his indirect apology on behalf of Steele and LoeberI've called on two occasions with regards to this problem and they failed to call me back to address the issue of trespassing on my propertyI have phone records showing I made the calls and I also left a voice mail with Steele and Loeber and did not receive a return call within hours as their voice mail promisesAs a homeowner and a consumer I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Steele and Loeber to anyone

Mr ** entered into a contract with us on October 9th we obtained a building permit through the city of Chicago on October 14th, Mr
** as well as all of our Customers receives a letter from us Thanking them for there purchase and confirming the length of time it will take to build his Garage, 4-weeks weather permitting most of the time in late October through November it can take longer due to weatherMr ** was told by *** Loeber that it does take 4-weeks to build a garageWright now in our industry there is a concrete shortage, You can call any concrete company and they will confirm thisIf Mr ** would **ke to move forward with the construction of his Garage we will be more than *** to proceed, If Mr ** would **ke to cancel he may do so, we will refund his money less the cost of the permit ($350.00) and processing fees of ($500.00) Our contract clearly states that if owner cancels the contract before work has started he or she shall pay 10% of the cash sale price, (Paragraph on the back of contract) So in Mr **'s case that could be $dollarsContract price $
As of now this job is on hold till Mr ** decides what he would **ke to do

We walked away from doing business with these guys due to sheer unprofessionalism during the negotiation and closing of having a garage built. You can expect horrible customer service from rude sales persons like Ross and a hostile and aggressive attitude from manager Phil who will refuse to resolve any issues or concerns you may have during the process. Add to that a slew of Revdex.com dot org complaints from 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 and it's clear S&L is a bad choice. Not recommended.

his issues,As a matter of fact Mr [redacted], Myself & my concrete man met at Mr [redacted]'s home about 10 days ago to try and resolve his concerns, My concrete man was at his home today 6/30/14 to take care of them. Mr [redacted] texed me today and asked me to change the rubber on the bottom of his door witch I said I will. As the far as the crack in the concrete goes. All concrete cracks, there is not a concrete company that in my 30 years in the construction field will guarantee there concrete from cracking, It is on our contract along with every Garage builder in the area.
Please keep in mind that on a garage unlike a home there is a 16 x 7 wide Garage door and in Mr [redacted]s case there is a extra 8 x 7 wide Garage door on the rear of his Garage that has a peice of rubber on the bottom and a rubber seal around the door, so when there is a driving rain water can and will find its way into the garage..
We are doing everthing we can to try and resolve Mr [redacted]s concrens.

Mr [redacted] instructed our concrete man on were to pour the concrete, As a matter of fact he asked our concrete man if he knew of a tree man he could recommend to remove trees that were in the way of were Mr [redacted] wanted the concrete, Our concrete man gave Mr...
[redacted] the tree mans number Mr [redacted] hired the tree man and told our concrete man to proceed with pouring the concrete exactly where he wanted it poured. This concrete was poured in early July 2015 We didn't hear from Mr [redacted] for months after we poured the concrete. The only reason Mr [redacted] contacted us was because his neighbor complained that it was on her property, it was only after the neighbor had a new survey made that it was confirmed that it was on her property, That is when one of Reps along with the concrete man and Mr [redacted] and the county building inspector meet on the job site and it was agreed between all that 2' of the concrete needed to be removed. Witch we did, Mr [redacted] Asked for a credit for the concrete that had to be removed, The cost for the concrete 2 x 29 area witch cost $319.00, Mr [redacted] hired an attorney who I have spoken with asking for $2000.00 off. I offered $500.00 Yesterday 2/5/16 Just to try and Make Mr [redacted] happy,
Mr [redacted] paid my concrete man money to pour extra concrete on his property that the building inspector made him take part of that out. The county inspector passed the construction and the pouring of the concrete. If Mr [redacted] wouldn't have told the concrete guys where to put the concrete none of this would have happened, I feel $500.00 is More than fair considering that Mr [redacted] brought this upon himself by instructing the concrete guys on where to position the concrete. We would be more than [redacted] to fix Mr. [redacted] Garage if he would like but there would be a fee associated with any repairs that would be done, due to the fact that it was built four years ago and is now long past it Warranty.

When I met with [redacted] I told him I would have my Door installer contact to make arrangements to come over and put a larger rubber on the bottom of his small garage door and caulk...
around the bottom of the door stops, what [redacted] and I spoke about the concrete and I told him that this is very common when the forms are pulled off the concrete that some of the concrete from the sides of the floor stick to the forms and that is what causes this, It happens on 100% of all floors, He was fine at the time of this explanation, We our still planning on replacing the rubber on the bottom of his door, Please keep in mind that is our busy time of the season but again it will be taken care and we will call ahead to schedule,
Also I never Received any E-mail from [redacted] on that Thursday.
When we realized we needed to replace our existing detached garage, we contacted three garage builders. All of the estimates were similar in cost, but what stood out for us was the details that Vic from Steele and Loeber went into about the building process and what to expect.
When we were finally ready to go, we had an unusual cold spell in November, but they worked around it bringing the concrete as the weather warmed up, then building it before winter finally sets in.
The quality of the finished garage is great. I absolutely recommend these guys.
