member of the motoring public. All of our tailgate seals are intact, the tailgates are latched at all times, and the loads are covered (required by DOT regulations). At the time of the phone call, [redacted] failed to provide a vehicle number (which there are 4 on each vehicle) and also failed to provide a license plate number, Her claims of "fake” names are unwarranted. Our website lists all names and emails of management personnel. Perhaps [redacted] did not record the names provided correctly, much like she was unable to provide specific vehicle information. On the position of being “rude", we stand by our initial statement of quality customer service. We would like to add our feelings of unprofessionalism and flaunting of a government position, [redacted] demanded names (which we provided) and made it known she worked for the [redacted]. We believe this was an intimidation tactic used to solicit information on a false claim. There are hundreds, if not thousand of commercial vehicles traveling that stretch of I-** at any point during the day. There is also major road construction north and south in the stated area. It is possible and plausible that any number of vehicles could have run over debris and caused it to become air born, striking [redacted]'s windshield. In closing, we deny the incident and take zero responsibility for objects in the roadway,Regards.Danny W[redacted] Operations Manager Owen Trucking
Review: Incident --7/18/2014 @ 8:00 AM IN VA ON 95 NORTH A HALF OF A MILE FROM THE [redacted] EXIT--> [redacted] TRUCKING LLC SPEWING GRAVEL OUT (WHERE THE TAILGATE SEAL SHOULD BE) ON 95 CAUSING A HAZARD FOR VEHICLES, ONE OF THEIR STONES HIT MY WINSHIELD AND CRACKED IT...THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. After several attempts at calling the company so they can take responsibility I finally spoke to someone in which he become very rude, and uncooperative, when asking for names they hung up on me, called them back and they give me "fake" names like Billy S[redacted] and Dan W[redacted]---I was told previously by someone else at a different company number that their names were ROY S[redacted] and RUSSEL R[redacted]. This company is causing hazard conditions for other people on the road and it does not bother them nor do they try to rectify it.Desired Settlement: Replace or Repair my winshield back to the way it was prior to their rocks cracking it.
