Review: JOB COMPLETED MARCH 2014

CONCERN ABOUT HOW WELL IT IS WORKING

CANNOT GET THEM TO RETURN TO CHECK EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A WARRANTY ON THE WORKDesired Settlement: RETURN TO HOME & REINSPECT JOB TO ASSURE WATERPROOFING IS WORKING

Review: I called the Thomas Waterproofing Company in May of 2014 to have a leakage problem serviced. They sent out one of their supervisors and he thoroughly explained the process and what would be done. I also received information about their lifetime warranty that came along with the service. The job was done in less than half a day on May 7. A sump pump/drainage system was installed and I paid them in full. They also left behind an unclean and messy area after they left. Unfortunately, our house leakage problem wasn't fixed. The first rainfall after their service ended up with the same exact issues I was having before. I immediately emailed them and also sent pictures of the mess that was left. Ever since my first email, I have been given the run around. People were sent to assess the problem, but nothing was ever fixed properly. Then, instead of realizing that they hadn't solved the issue from the beginning, they told me that I would need to pay an extra sum ($700) to have 'additional' work done. I thought that was ludicrous, as they are a professional company and should have the adequate knowledge on how to handle the leakage. I refused to pay since I know that their job was not on par with the service I was expecting. I even sent a certified letter to the President of the Company, but I didn't have any direct contact with him. He only referred it to his 'special assistant'. That was over a month ago, and just today (Sept 12) did they send a couple employees to caulk a small area with cement, as if that will solve the leakage problem. Their nonchalant and indifferent behavior over a period of over 4 months really upset me and my all the rain leakage only added on to my frustration.I thought their company would realize their mistake and unprofessional job, but instead they kept trying to charge me for additional work that wouldn't be necessary had they done the job correctly from the get go.Desired Settlement: I am requesting either they send out a crew to fix the situation and admit their fault that they did not do a thorough job as was explained to me. If they do not agree to remedy the problem, I want a full refund for the services I purchased.

Review: Thompsons cracked sewer drain pipe while installing sum pump in our home. After dragging out response refused to repair the damage they caused.

Sum Pump was installed on June 2 2013. Damage was discovered on June 3rd and reported to Thompsons on June 4th. We spoke with several individuals including Rene D[redacted], and Jeff T[redacted] who with the individual who threatened my wife. The amount for they were paid for their services was $4586 and the repair cost $1785 which we've charged back to our credit card.

They cracked the pipe then sealed in concrete to attempt to conceal the damage. The water the leaked from the pipe erroded the wet cement over the next few days. They were combative and rude from the very beginning asked us to send pictures of the area but never offered to come inspect in person. After dragging out our request to repair for several days and repeatedly not upholding their commitments to return our phone calls the owners son called my wife to inform us they would not reimburse us for any of the costs. He was rude and never even apologized for his company damaging our home. He also threatened to come after us legally if we contacted the Revdex.com. When we stated we would contact our attorney he made clear that they would make certain any legal options would cost us a substantial amount of money. As a company they clearly have a philosophy to attempt to threaten and intimidate whenever confronted with a complaint or a customer who is not satisfied with their work.

I've worked with customers for over 20 years in sales and I've never come across a company with such disrespect for their clients.Desired Settlement: We are requesting a refund of the cost to repair the damage $1785.
