I said I have known this man for less than twenty years and that I met him at *** Country Club. I don't remember the exact year but it was but it was less than twenty years ago and he was intoxicated. I was there as a guest and I don't know or care if he was a member when I met him.
If he is handicap, as he states, he could have parked in one of three handicap spots available. There was no reason to park, illegally in the fire zone.
My security cameras can't see through cars and into backseats. He said in his complaint that he showed my clerk the case and the bottles this is not true“I tried to show him every one of the bottles was dated 4/2013”, a direct quote copied and pasted right from the original complaint. If you didn’t bring the case in and the clerk didn’t get the case from the car, how did you show anything?
This is the address you listed in your complaint:
*** *** *** ***
***
*** *** *** ***
I copied it right off the complaint and pasted it to MapQuest to get the distance to my store. Is this your address or is it another mapart of your story
“I no longer have the receipt, as I purchased another case of the same Victory beer from *** *** beverage, *** ***, PA”...What does buying a case from *** *** Beverage have to do with not having the receipt?
Another quote from the complainant…“ it is a complaint to a Government run AGENCY, who should have the general public's best interests at heart.” Sorry, but the Revdex.com isn’t a government run agency. DO A LITTLE HOMEWORK! My offer stands, produce a receipt, and the case and it will be replaced
I know that the complainant has nothing but time on his hands and this could go on forever. I am willing to speak with anyone at the Revdex.com about this issue, but I will not waste any more time addressing this issue with the complainant. I feel that his complaint cannot be backed up with any proof.
***, if you can think of anything else you would like to hear from me or you can point out hard facts that the complainant has proven (like a receipt from Thorndale Beverage) please contact me. Otherwise, I would like you to stop this harassment, so I can move on, business owners have rights also
Again, I ask that this be remove from my file with the Revdex.com as I have offered to clear the issue up and no physical proof has been submitted
Sincerely,
** ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The said business owner is completely wrong on his responseFirst and foremost is his SLANDEROUS and remarks concerning meeting me twenty years ago at *** Country Club, and you are welcome to check those recordsI was not a member there at that time, it was many years earlier, and he was not a member at that time, nor ever met me there, instead he has met me about years ago at the *** *** Restaurant in ***, Pawhere we both frequented for breakfast
The owners response about the beer in question is 100% and I would welcome him to show you the tapes, of the night in questionIt would be clearly seen that the entire case of beer including all outdated bottles were in the back right side passenger seat of the carHis employee was arrogant and decisive in not wanting to see the beer, receipt or make the situation rectifiedIn fact his exact statement to me was that even if the beer were purchased there, he still would not exchange the outdated product and replaced it with non-expired stockI no longer have the receipt, as I purchased another case of the same Victory beer from *** *** beverage, *** ***, PA. This was a birthday present for a family member
As for his claim of buying beer from his establishment, he has no idea where I presently reside, and my brother-in-law, and his family live less than one mile from his storeI have not touched a drop of alcohol in over years and it can be witnessed too by many people
It is a known fact that the establishment has sold to underage people many timesThis complaint is not a personal attack as ** *** has tried to make it into, it is a complaint to a Government run AGENCY, who should have the general public's best interests at heart
In regards to the fire zone, once again it has nothing to do with the complaint, other than to further prove that the outdated case of beer, containing all UNOPENED bottles of outdated beer was in the passengers side backseat, and my wife in the front, who witnessed this entire episode, and ** *** was no where on the premises, and when asked to speak to the proprietor (** ***), his employee would not contact him or provide contact information. The car was in the fire zone, because I am disabled and have a permanent disabled tag, and to help unload the bad product and have it replacedIt is irrelevant once again with regards to this complaint
Perhaps ** *** could stick to the issue at hand and not try to twist the story through allegations and slanderous statements about me
I look forward to your continued investigation and response on this matterThe public should be made aware of the type of protocol this business and its employees endorse
Any further information that you would need, feel free to contact me.
Regards,
*** ***

**. [redacted]
Dear **. [redacted],
My name is [redacted], Owner and
President of Thorndale Beverage.  I am
writing you to respond to the many inaccuracies filed in a complaint by [redacted]
[redacted].
First, let me state that I am
familiar with the complainant.  I have
known him for less than twenty years and the first time I was introduced to him
he was intoxicated and nearly fell of his barstool, turning to shake my hand,
at [redacted] Country Club.  I do not
believe that he has not had a drink in over twenty-five years, as he claims.
The issues I have with the
complaint are as follows:
1-       The purchase price, stated in this complaint,
is several dollars less than I charge for a Victory Variety case.  This leads me to believe that the case was
purchased at a “discount distributor” and not at Thorndale Beverage.
2-      The
complainant lives at least 14 miles (MapQuest) from my store and very close to
several distributors that are known to sell “out of code beer” at a discounted
price.
3-      The
complainant did not bring a receipt, the case, or even a bottle, as he stated
in his complaint, into my store to prove his claim.  He just demanded another case be taken to his
car and the case he said he had in his car removed.  My clerk never saw a receipt, the case or a
bottle of beer, as stated in the complaint.
We don’t even know if he had the case with him.  The complainant’s, estimated, [redacted] lbs. frame
and agitated state made my clerk very uncomfortable.  The complainant was told that this was not
consistent with our store policy and he was given a business card and told he
could call the Owner or General Manager when they returned on Monday and they
would try to help him with his issue.
The complainant never called.  If
he would have called Monday he would have been told, if he could produce a receipt, from Thorndale Beverage, and the case of
beer with the date on the box and the bottles we would replace the case.  This offer still stands.
I would ask that this complaint
be removed from my company’s record because the complainant never tried to
contact the General Manager or myself and I don’t believe we sold the cases in
question.  If he states that he tried to
contact us, I would like to see a telephone record proving his claim.  I have never found this person to be
trustworthy and his actions on February 22, 2014 have done nothing to change my
opinion.
At this point I do not want to be
contacted by the complainant nor do I ever want him stepping foot in my store
again.  Any communication he has should
go through the Revdex.com so it can be documented.
I have security video of the
incident on the 22nd.  If you
would like a copy of the complainant parking in the fire lane in front of my
store and never showing my clerk a receipt, the case or a bottle, please let me
know.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I purchased a case of Victory Beer mixed beer for a gift and when I got home, noticed it had expired a year ago in April, 2013. This was printed on both the box and the individual bottles. When I brought it back for exchange, the owner was not on the premises, and I was waited on by a clerk whom is a relative of the owner of this establishment. His arrogance was overwhelming to say the least and he reiterated no less than three times that he would in no way exchange the outdated product they sold for an in date case of beer. I tried to reason with him, but he was boisterous and loud to say the least. I have not even consumed an alcoholic beverage in over 25 years and this was bought for a gift. I tried to show him every one of the 24 bottles was dated 4/2013 and he just kept reiterating there would be no exchange or refund, of which I was not asking for the money, just make good on the product he sold.Desired Settlement: I would like a mixed case of Victory brand beer provided as well as $25.00 gas and time reimbursement. Also, would like this well documented with the Revdex.com as I have talked to several other customers who are not pleased with this establishment also.
