Very bad plan the TSP is rotten and corrupt misappropriate funds, charge you fees to correct their mistake like putting in traditional plan when I wanted to be in Roth - that is extortion. Put funds in wrong investments deny contribution that are allowed per IRS. And the customer service unbelievable never respond to email sent through website including promise to reply, customer service staff condescending and rude on phone. If you complain Suzanne Tosini acting executive director sends letter to your agency as threat to get you fired or at least shut up

Review: Unable to sign in to my online account, I requested a new password and login. Because I live abroad on government service, it took more than two months to receive my pin (They refused to email it to me). Once I signed on with the new pin, it didn't work, so I requested another pin. I was told that the pin they provided (which included capital letters) wouldn't work except in lower case letters and only once I cleared the cache in my computer. When I complained on the phone, they said that they couldn't retrieve my pin or give me another and there was nothing I could do to access my account except wait for another two months until the mailed pin came in. I have to call in with international charges every time I need to know details about my hard-earned savings. 1)Slow service--who mails pins anymore? Just email it like ANY credit company or bank.2)Inaccesibility--It took more than twenty minutes to speak to a supervisor, andI kept being put on hold. [redacted] and [redacted] were kind once I spoke to them, but the circuitous automated system is yet another way they ensure customers are furious by the time they speak to a human.3)Bad resource managment--hiding behind an automated computer system ("we can't give you your pin because the computer won't give us access."--WHO runs that company?)Desired Settlement: I want a letter of apology for the inconvenience and incorrect pin information, and a change to allow people living abroad to get pins emailed. This is 2014. This company needs to modernize.
